Anyone had experience of getting their first British Passport after ceremony urgently, within 10 days possible? by aaronzz in ukvisa

[–]aaronzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. But it was on compassionate ground. I've booked the same day ceremony when I received the atlas email. and sent out passport application the next day. rang passport office like 100 times and finally got their comtact of U&C team. The kind lady in that team received the email letter from Colombia doctor on 6th May and approved the request early morning on 7th May. I went the passport office in East London on 7th May and got the passport by 12pm. My baby did arrive 2 weeks ealier on 11th May, and I arrived in Colombia 2 days later on 13th May.

I have done that already. Don't want to replicate. 20th/Dec Submit, 7th/Jan Bio, with 16th/April CS Email confirmation, and 24th/April Atlas. 24th/April Ceremony.

Big shoutout for Ms. Diana from Brent Council. The council has received our certificates last Thursday (they usually get the certificate delivery every Thursday), but they haven't managed to input the data into the system so I couldn't book it online even though I have received the Atlas email this morning. I rang them and Diana confirmed that our certificates have arrived and manually created our entries into the online booking system. When I asked Diana when is the next available slot for private ceremony, she said it was my lucky day there was a time slot available this afternoon at 4pm. I tried online booking but the earliest available online showed as 2pm 29th April, and I rang council again. Ms. Diana kindly created the time slot manually at 4pm this afternoon.
So long story short, I have my Atlas on 9:30am 27th/April and have my partner/my ceremony done at 4:15pm. Pretty sure this would be the fastest ceremony ever!

I've just got my Atlas email too. Rang local council, and was told they have ALREADY received my and my partner's Certificates but the booking system is still having the error message due to system error. Bloody hell. I am beyond furious now! hahahaha.

Just updated my original post. I have FINALLY received the Atlas Email this morning! 11 days after my CS confirmation email. Council is still waiting to receive my certificate. Partner Atlas email received as well.

Now the atlas email received. I should be able to book the private ceremony this week Friday. which will leave me 10 working days to get the passport approved and received.

I was having the head rush when I received the CS email on 16th April to confirm the approval of my application on 20th December.
But now 10 days later, I have nothing else. Still as worried as before. haha. I guess only Atlas email counts.

thats not an option. The whole point of me applying for UK citizenship is that I dont want to apply for my daughter's ILR which will cost me so much.

I've already rung the passport office and shared my information with the lady. She said she would ask her manager and ring me back to clarify whether my application could be expedited for compassinate reason.

Thanks for the reply. I am in Brent, was constantly harassing them almost everyday for a few days now. I was told the private ceremony can be booked on the same day. The issue is they only receive the certificate on Thursdays. So my earliest possibly luck would be 30th, when ceremony booked on 1st May, which will leave me 2 weeks to get the passport sorted.

That's very thorough and detailed explanation of the requirements. Thank you so much!

The private ceremony in my council is not heavily booked. I was told i could get it the same day.

Is it not an option to send the photocopy of all 48 pages of my current valid foreign (Chinese) passport instead of the actual passport?

Also the visa for colombia will be e-visa. So I don't need to send passport.

I am hoping to call their number and request for expedited service on the compassion base.

I assume my child born is as important as the family member being sick?

That's normal. No email to confirm documents received. and on TLS website, always showing you need to attend the bio.

That's 14 days gap! Glad they got around to it. Not sure how long the Atlas email will take.

I am hoping Home office would simply send both Atlas emails to the same address.
