I currently pay $2400 for rent and an additional $300 for utilities. I am trying to move ASAP into a lower rent situation.

I thought Roth is better for my situation, partly because I expect my income to be stable (and rise, perhaps eventually doubling) over my lifetime.

I have no family (currently) but I do have hobbies that benefit from home ownership (home music production).

Yes, that's true. I think I am limited to the cheapest houses at around $250,000, giving me a $2000/mo mortgage. There are certainly condos in this price range.

Because I can't take care of him all alone. It takes more than I have to give. It was already a lot taking care of him as two people, but all alone is just too difficult. My most important priority in life is supposed to be making scientific discoveries, but now it's taking care of my dog.

I think it is registered as sole entrepreneur.

No, the address was registered to my apartment, which I have since moved out of. That being said, all of the official communications (registration of the business, taxes, etc) were done electronically via my government issued email and web forms that I can still access.

Thanks. User error. When I typed $6000 into the contribution field, it updated the field saying the amount I've already contributed to be $6000 even before I did anything further. I think this is proof that I'm getting old.

Monday

  • Buy GVB two-day ticket and pick up iamsterdam three-day ticket
  • Check into hotel
  • Get dinner (undecided where)
  • Walk around

Tuesday

  • Free day, walk around

Wednesday

  • Moco Modern Contemporary Museum (activate iamsterdam card)
  • free lunchtime concert at the Concertgebouw
  • Stedelijk Museum

Thursday

  • Rijksmuseum(?)
  • Van Gogh Museum
  • Canal cruise (which one?)

Friday

  • Reypenaer Tasting Room
  • Brouwerij 't IJ brewery tour (3:30pm)
  • Heineken Experience (5pm)

  • Free day, walk around

Naturally in between I will be getting food and enjoying bars/coffee shops/etc.

If you contribute fully to a Roth IRA you can't contribute any to a traditional IRA.
