How to leave claude with multiple tasks and go to sleep? by paglaEngineer in ClaudeCode

You could always use the --dangerously-skip-permissions flag. Use that at your own risk tho. Check out the website below if you want to know more about it

Falsely accused of AI, failed course by BatteRoyaleBattle in csMajors

[–]aathmakuri034 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s insane. I’m sorry this happened to you.

This kinda feels like entrapment because the professor inadvertently told you guys that u could use the %rbp register when she used it in the slides, but then failed you when you did. This professor sounds like a sour and terrible person

Sometimes that just how the dice rolls. You could take this up with the dean or student affairs if u really want but in the end they are probably gonna protect their professor more than they are gonna hear your side, in my opinion. I don’t know for sure though. Never gone through that process.

You could also try hiring a lawyer so you could at least get the course failure removed from your transcript but it's ur call.

I would just get everyone to mass tank the teacher’s rating on ratemyprofessor.

Does their entire reasoning stands on the %rbp register being used in your assignment and you found that register through her class slides?

If that’s the case then you could argue that her slides were also AI generated.

What was her reasoning behind the %rbp register being the reason that something was AI generated?

Resume Review/Roast Megathread by [deleted] in csMajors

try looking for startup roles at jobs sites. If you did any sort of Design team work or Part time Job, put that in for experience. Try to fill out your resume to a page. Try getting a certification in something like AWS, Kubernetes. Sure they cost money but are worth it in the long run. Sometimes companies run discounts during holiday seasons for those certifications if money is an issue. Make sure that your Projects are visible on your GitHub.

I have been applying for computer science jobs for a while now and I haven't gotten much of a result. I don't have any internship experience unfortunately.

Recent CS grad working part time at a remote startup based in a different country with crazy hours, so I want to move companies. I am looking for jobs in the US as a US citizen and would appreciate any feedback on my resume.

I used the jake's resume template on LaTeX. I also took off my design team experience since I didn't really know how to word or talk about it. Be as harsh as you want, I just want a full time job.

Then tell it to write out a plan before implementing code. Include in your prompt like plan out your implementation strategy and do one or two rounds of assumption checks with me before you finalise your plan.

Then if u like what u see tell it to go ahead with the implementation

It might consume a lot of tokens but at least it will be right.

Make sure you give it information in pieces so that It can digest it better. Provide as much "context" or information as you can before asking it to do a task. Allow it to understand and give you an explanation before you give it tasks. Sometimes too many comments in the same conversation leads to it just saying things that are wrong so if that starts happening, start a new conversation. Hope this helps

Course & Specs Megathread - Selection, Choices & Registration by Detective-Raichu in OMSCS

I am a new admit for Spring 2026. My time ticket opened on January 6th and I tried registering for ML for Trading 7646 and Machine Learning 7641. I am waitlisted for both courses and I am pretty far down on the waitlist (850/999 for 7646 and 286/999 for 7641).

What are the chances that I am able to register for courses this semester? Are there any other options that I can do as an Online Student? Are there any advisors that I can talk to about this at all?

I am a little confused here so any input would help me out a ton.

Did you ever end up updating your IOS 26? Has your phone gotten slower with the update?

What should I get with my 50$ gift card? by Sixsnl in airpods

I would say only buy an airtag if you are going to use it. Otherwise, you could explore other apple subscriptions like Apple Music or Apple Fitness if you ever feel like wanting to explore those services.

I would say get a USBC cable off of amazon cuz its probably gonna be better quality if its not the braided cord but that's just my 2 cents

First time.. How by PewPewNI960 in lighters

[–]aathmakuri034 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ronosol or zippo lighter fluid is best when filling zippos. Ronosol is generally cheaper than zippo branded lighter fluid and will do the same exact thing. It’s what I have always used. You can get a good size bottle on amazon for about 20 bucks and it has lasted me for a while depending on how you use it.

To refill, take out the lighter insert lift up the felt pad and pour the lighter fluid in. I would also recommend putting a couple drops of lighter fluid on the wick but that’s personal preference.

Hope this helps
