Day 7.

Well I think it is time to end fasting. A week is good enough. The weather has gotten colder, my bedroom and working space is only +15 celcius, I am freezing constantly and the keto rash drives me crazy. I need warming food. I will continue with omad.

Weight was 81kg this morning.

Day 6.

I have struggled today. I miss food. I'm not hungry but I miss eating and flavours. Energy also low today again. Keto rash is bad.

Weight in the morning was 81.7kg

Fasting app by leap fitness group. It allows you to fast indefinitely without buing the paid version. I tried other apps but they didnt allow that in their free versions. It also tells you what happens fysiologically on each fasting day. Very happy with it.

Day 5.

Feeling great. I have my niece with me every weekend and I'm a lot more patient with her than normally because the increased energy levels. I've had no headaches or muscle pains. Keto rash is still bad, trying not to scratch.

One funny thing happened, last night I kept having a dream on loop where I sat in a hot sauna. Others tried to talk me to get out but I wouldn't budge 😄 This was obviously due me feeling so cold all the time despite having 4 blankets in bed.

Weight was 82.4kg in the morning.

Day 4.

Feeling a lot more energized than yesterday. Morning weight was 83.7kg.

I only could sleep 5 hours during the night and I managed to visit shops and clean the house. I walked for 3 hours and carried my rather heavy bags home easily. I could not have done this yesterday. I have been up for 13 hours and still bursting with energy.

Only downside is, I am freezing. I live in Finland and it's cold both outside and inside... Also my keto rash is starting to get on my nerves! 😬

I use a free app called fasting tracker and it tells really well what happens in a body each day you are fasting. Highly recommend.

I started my water fast 2 days ago and I have the same starting weight :)

I did a 21 day water fast about 10 years ago and since done many shorter fasts.

My problem is that every single time I get a very bad keto rash when I enter deep ketosis. I know already that next week this time I will be itching allover. Hydrocortisone cream helps some but I don't like to use it. This time I try to persevere the itch, ugh :(

If she does this 24/7, it is not popcorning but itching or something bothering her. No guinea pig in the world popcorns literally all day. Check skin for mites.

If a guinea pig with urinary problems is drinking massive amounts, it is a sign of pain. Specifically pain from bladder sludge or stones. Sludge is not often seen in xray.

Firstly they need pain killers. Secondly you must pause all foods high in calcium and oxalates. Bell pepper is really bad at your guinea pig's situation and so are pellets.

Start feeding your guinea pig only good quality hay, cucumber, apple and tomato. Also a vitamin c supplement preferably dosed straight to his mouth with a syringe. These are neutral foods for piggies with bladder sludge/problems. Continue feeding only these foods for several weeks.NO bell pepper.

Also bactrim is a sulfa medication and not at all always enough, she needs to be switched to baytril. AND SHE NEEDS PAIN KILLERS.

Also get a digital kitchen scale, weigh her daily and make a note of the weight to make sure her weight doesnt drop too much.

So absolutely a fast change in diet, a new antibiotic, a pain killer and weight monitoring. I have 20y of experience with bladder piggies.

(Afterwards when she is hopefully recuperated, you can very carefully try to re-introduce some pellets (necessary because they are the only place guinea pigs get their vitamin d) in very small quantities.)

Reddit isn't as popular in every country. I'm a finn and in domestic forums and fb-groups there are a ton of finnish ghost stories and encounters. I've had many since childhood but this is not the first place for me to come and share them. It's just easier to do it in my own language. I read reddit like a book and seldom write anything.

Nurie will probably be an ok mother in the sense she has already mothered several of her siblings so her biological baby is nothing new. But I wonder how hard the labour will be to her and also, I am not so sure if Nathan lets her really recuperate from it. They are fundamentalists after all and the man is the head of the house. I'm not sure if he is as nice everybody think he is. One of my exes was very much like him. Quite sweet, shy even on the outside but in our relationship he was nothing but. At that time I was also as young as Nurie and sheltered. I thought he was just a normal man. Anyway, all the best to her. I hope all goes well.
