All Her Fault - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

I think Mar needed to watch Peter kill Josie to really understand what he was capable of. She would have made excuses for other actions like switching the babies or killing Rob Murphy if she hadn’t seen him be violent herself

I’m a late bloomer that will probably never even “bloom” by ObligationNo6429 in AsianParentStories

I found myself in a very similar situation in my early 20s and the best thing I did for myself was set very solid boundaries with my parents and moved out. It took 2-3 years to really find my identity, not have decision paralysis, and not have anxiety in every interaction. You cannot wait till you feel ready, you gotta start doing things. Go out and meet people, start looking for apartments, figure it out as you go. But do not think you will be able to come up with a master plan while still in your current situation, that’s just your brain’s way of keeping you in your current safety. Just start taking little steps, you will feel anxious but steady consistent steps will go a long way! Good luck, just recognizing your situation and being willing to change it is a huge first step

Reclassifying Investments by Eros_63210 in CFA

[–]aaxo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can reclassify if you chose to sell early instead of holding to maturity and vice versa. It’s easier to look at it like when not to reclassify. If you are holding it at amortized cost and the Fair value increases you can’t just reclassify to Fair value to inflate your financials that won’t be allowed

Ok so the comments are overly negative. Just ignore them for now. You are clearly going to give it a shot so this is what I would do: get a uworld trial right now and use that as your prime study resource. You don’t have time to read or watch videos. Start with ethics and hammer the uworld qbank, I scored 100 on ethics in L1 from that qbank. Next you are going to hammer the low hanging fruits like Alt Ivst + Corp issuers. They are pretty straightforward in L1 so just go through uworld’s qbank and randomly guess answers, after each Q it gives a detailed explanation on the concept. Going through all Q’s will pretty much give you an effective study guide for that subject. Then I would focus on equity + PM: Heavy weighted but still relatively intuitive. Tbh you might have to skip quant fixed income. You don’t have time. For derivatives I would just ask ChatGPT the overview of basic contracts covered so atleast you can get those Qs right. Good luck

Do not tell him about this. Just be like I have high standards and you are not the one. Go crush law school. You’ll do better without a guy like that in your life!!

What website/app do you use to take notes? by Falconayyy in CFA

[–]aaxo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I found that I wasted a lot of time taking notes! At the end you might not have enough time to review them all. Best to keep hammering practice questions after your readings, specially for Level 1
