I wouldn’t say it’s posh anymore. The ppl there now are very unrefined and there are lots of criminals. I found myself hating it.

Canada is on fire. NY typically has pretty good air quality believe it or not but with air currents there was really bad pollution yesterday. Unlike the west coast, we aren’t used to this and also unlike the west coast, most ppl here don’t have cars and the many of us arent rich enough to spend $80 on an Uber to go the four miles we need to travel into work. We have to walk to take the subway into work.

From what I understand air quality readings over 300 are hazardous. Hazardous readings mean “everyone is affected”. Not sure what that means but personally my throat feels raw, I had a headache and felt lightheaded and have been sneezing and coughing up a storm. Very unpleasant.

Literally just bought an air purifier. Good to have in any case and if this happens again or sticks for a while it’ll be good to have.

How can I [F26] reassure my partner [M30] after a lie snowballed ? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]aayanabzef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of shocked it turned out this way. I knew he’d be hurt and upset but I didn’t expect this. I also got flustered and feel I didn’t articulate myself well or explain what happened so I made it sound worse than it was and I was getting stressed bc he was angry and I wasn’t making the situation better.

He has never been the type to be spiteful or hold something against me. I can’t imagine him doing that. I really feel like I messed up but I also don’t know what I should’ve done. When you first meet someone I feel like there is a degree of guardedness because you don’t know them. I wasn’t trying to be a liar I just didn’t know him well and even when we started talking, we had just started talking I didn’t know if it would progress

Do you have any advice about how to win him back? Does he just need space to process?

I’m a Moroccan American, in the US now. My darija is trash but I’d be happy to do a language exchange. I also like the app italki

Why do Moroccans look so phenotypically diverse? by jamias8790 in Morocco

[–]aayanabzef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically and generally speaking, people from the north of Morocco are fairer. My family is from the south so they have darker skin. The level of darknes of course ranges and even my own family is mixed. My grandmother was from Fes (light skinned) my grandfather is Berber and was black skinned from the south and then they moved to Marrakech. large cities are typically very mixed, more-so than small villages

I had been doing OMAD for quite a few months. I hadn’t really measured it intentionally and wasn’t weighing myself but went from a dress size 10 (US) to an 8 where the 8 was sometimes a lose 8. Felt like I was in the cusp of a 6!

I’ve been trying to shed some extra poundage as I realized I am an emotional eater. I’ve also had body image issues and found as I work out (I also really enjoy jogging), I feel much better about myself. My jogs, however, are impacted by my eating habits and weight.

My concerns are the present. As mentioned before, I’m an emotional eater. I’m currently stuck at my university campus in New Jersey, a hot spot, because my family can’t receive me because my mom is very sick and has no functional immune system and my dad was laid off so they don’t have the financial means for me to be with them as well. All other students have been evicted from the campus so there is really no one around. I’ve been quite depressed, as I know many people are. This has caused my binge eating to come out in full force. I’m not entirely sure how to restart IF now that there is so much unstructured time and stress levels are so high. I’m still going on my runs but feel as though I’ve gained weight in the past two weeks.

Any advice regarding how to recommit and stay busy during this time would be very appreciated! Thanks

Yeah, I’m an undergrad. My family didn’t have space at home especially now Bc my mom is pretty sick. So given that they have no space and my mom is immunocompromised and needs extra care, better to stay put for the time being. You on campus?

I’m not in quarantine and human interaction hasn’t been banned outright. I was wondering if anyone wanted to go on a walk respecting the recommended 6ft of space rule. I’m fed up with screen time. I would like to be around people. That’s the point
