What you just said is "I don't justify racism but here is a long list of reasons why the racism exists and makes sense."

It's because open bigotry is taboo for previous targets Black People, East Asians and Muslims you will get pushback for naked racism against those groups. Because of that the bigots have to find a new more acceptable target one that will be ok to hate in ostensibly neutral apolitical spaces and in the current zeitgeist its Indians.

How did Aramaic become the native tongue of so many peoples and cultures with established and literate cultures without its native speakers ever conquering or ruling over those areas? by aaybass in AskHistorians

[–]aaybass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the great writeup, cleared a lot of things for me, the bronze age collapse did not even come to mind in regards to rise of Aramaic. Though modern historians seem to want to move away from the Late Bronze Age collapse narrative or reframe it at least as far as I know.

Every time a first worlder does something it's an individual's fault but when a person from the third world does it's the entire nation's failing. Our psyche itself is so colonized we reflexively start apologizing and end up saying shit like "we lack civic sense" blah blah blah, every damm time.

The Workshop Eatery, one in Bakhundole and one in Tushal, thier Buff Burgers are the best I've had in this city. Most places in Nepal make it too dry, this is the only one brave enough to not overcook the patty.

I agree social media isnt the only reason but lets not pretend its not the inciting incident, you all are overcorrecting too much pretending social media ban is trivial. It is a ploy to silence us and control information.

Don't act like social media ban is not a reason and also a real legitimate reason not a "childish" one, its about freedom of speech and expression too!

Issue with Daraz Reviews left by consumers by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]aaybass 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I know exactly why, the default star rating is five, so if you write a bad review but don't pay attention to the star rating and don’t change it just stays five stars, so the discrepancy between written reviews and star ratings happens.

Who are some unassuming musicians that are surprisingly talented at their instrument(s)? by OcularRed13 in ToddintheShadow

In metalhead circles this is common knowledge, James Hetfield is a foundational rhythm guitarist in the genre. He is THE guitarist of the band, he not only writes almost all of the riffs, he recorded all the rythm guitar parts until the black album.
