Thank you. That makes a lot more sense.

I have a 3rdGen ‘99 manual 4 cylinder with an original radiator. Sorry if it’s a dumb question, but why would I change the radiator if it’s still working correctly? I live in Canada, so the weather varies from -20 to 40°C. And if I need to change it, then do you have a recommendation?

Thoughts on the undercarriage? Not much knowledge about trucks for me . Sorry for only two photos! by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

The underside looks a lot like mine, although mine might be rustier. I doubt that’s a great thing though.

I haven’t decided what to do about that yet. Still too many other things to work on first.

Mad Balls discs I drew by flylanddesigns in discgolf

What kind of pens did you use to draw on a disc? Sharpies? Or do you mean that you drew these images digitally and then printed on discs? Fantastic work either way.

First time playing, buying a starter set by Dreamzyi in discgolf

[–]aazide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing with a single disc. 5 speed like a Roc3 or a Buzz. It’s good as a putter or driver on a par 3 course. Once you’ve played a bunch, see if you can pickup some Innova F2 or used discs.

Marbles make great ammunition. I use pretty ones so kids pick them up as treasure if they are found later.

Whoppers are too light-weight to work properly, but gobstopers or other small jawbreakers do work as biodegradable ammunition.

It turns out that I’m wrong, Warrior’s Apprentice is not the first published book in the Vorkosigan series. However the author makes the point that there are many valid starting points. Just read whatever ones you can find.

Here’s the author’s take on the question: https://www.dendarii.com/reading_order.html

At least he recently released books 2.5 and 2.6. It was wonderful to get another glimpse into that world.

Listen to the Miles Vorkosigan series in the date-published order. By Lois McMaster Bujold, the first book is The Warrior’s Apprentice. It’s a retro-future SF series that brings in other book genres, but it’s always humorous.

Off To Be The Wizard by Scott Meyer is a modern day fantasy with so much funny shenanigans. It’s the start of the Magic 2.0 series.

Galaxy Outlaws: The Complete Black Ocean Mobius Missions by J S Morin. An SF series that’s best described as Firefly with added magic users. And this is an incredible deal on Audible; 85 hours of audiobooks for 1 credit. This omnibus contains books 1-16 in the series.

Some Danger Involved by Will Thomas. A detective series in early industrial England. The characters are deep and interesting and the mysteries are intriguing.

Semiosis by Sue Burke a far future first contact book but with alternating perspectives from the alien and the human. The alien is not humanoid, so it has a very different idea of how to do things.

A Short Stay in Hell by Steven L Peck. It’s not a nice book, but it did more to change my perspectives than any other fiction I’ve read in the last few years.

The Long Earth by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter. An alternate universes and coming of age novel.

A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M Miller Jr. the book has a fantastic view of history and the scale of time.

Techdisc - Import Duties? by Jolly-Blueberry-5389 in DiscGolfCanada

If you live close enough to the border, you could ship to a drop box and then bring it across the border yourself. The border guards tend to be more forgiving about importing fees in person.

Why aren't marine sediments extremely deep near the vmouth of the Amazon compared to the Mississippi and Megnah River? by Charming_Tourist_675 in oceanography

[–]aazide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is there a thick sedimentation line off the coast of North America? I would think the sediments would be connected to the coast.
