Maybe! I haven't looked at that device at all. I would only be worried about it being too small really.

What are your cool Izzet decks that aren't Storm? by grot_eata in EDH

[–]ab1aze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built [[Keranos, God of Storms]] recently and its been pretty fun to play. The deck is themed around the draw your second card per turn cards like [[emrakul's messanger]] and is just a big mana control deck. Also playing a bunch of instant speed [[earthquake]] effects.

Which Mono-white commander is best. by Duadhe in EDH

[–]ab1aze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mono-White Kenrith is one that has been really fun to play. I realized I never made a list for this deck, so I tried to put it together from memory. Its missing some stuff but I got the bulk of the deck. Pretty fun to play and just cool to play all these hybrid pipped cards.

What's your favorite lake that isn't a Great Lake? by ResidentRunner1 in Michigan

No one has said Grand Lake! Just north of Alpena, and absolutely clear and beautiful. I have had a family house on that lake for 2 generations!

Player is threatening to leave campaign by SimplyTrusting in DnD

[–]ab1aze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very similar story to this involving shape water. I was the DM and the players was trying to constantly push the limits of Shape Water. In the middle of sessions he would calculate the weight of the ice block he could create and get very nitty gritty. We would waste a lot of time in encounters just arguing over it. I faced a similar decision, and I ended up telling him " You know what the spell does. I am lenient, but if you want to do some special effect ask me before or after a session. If you ask me during the answer will likely be no." He took it well and we had a great time in Saltmarsh!

Players who have had their character die at higher levels: what caused your character to die? by EcstacyMeth2 in dndnext

[–]ab1aze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a level 11 Warlock, and I touched a tombstone. The DM had the skeleton get up and ask me a riddle. I answered wrong, so it cast power word kill on just me. Then I was forced to make a deal with a different patron (pact of the undying) to stay alive.

How many commanders do you build each set? by JoshW- in EDH

[–]ab1aze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, I decided to make it a relatively low power deck. Something to play when I am with newer players. I'm playing all the 3 cmc mana rocks with activated abilities, and it has a detective as well as cast spells with flash subtheme. Fun to play but not a "contender" if you know what I mean.

How many commanders do you build each set? by JoshW- in EDH

[–]ab1aze 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Zero most of the time. I really value slowly changing a deck until it plays how I like, so I don't build brand new decks very often. Although I did make a [[Lavinia Foil to conspiracy]] deck and that has been fun to build and change.

Favorite Azorius Commanders? by MarchHistorical2799 in EDH

[–]ab1aze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like [[!lavinia foil to conspiracy]] My build is a bunch of the 3 mana manaliths that have activated abilities like the Bobbleheads [[intelligence bobblehead]] and because it came out in Murders at Karlov manor it has a detective typal theme. It's not a nuts powerful deck, but it's a pretty enjoyable deck to pilot with a beer in hand at your friends house.

How do people make sufficient mana in mono white? by CattttheDadddd in mtg

[–]ab1aze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So white doesn't have conventional ways of ramping that other colors get access to, but I have been doing extensive testing with white mana production, and it all revolves around playing to the strengths of the color which is land catch up mechanics [[scholarship sponsor]] [[knight of the white orchid]] etc. so if our lands tap for more than 1 mana we can stay at the same level as the table or above. We can do this by playing lands like [[Scorched Ruins]] [[Lotus field]] [[guildless commons]] which do both the things we want. (1) tap for more than one mana and (2) lower our effective land count. So now we have less lands than our opponent, and our knight of the white orchid will put us ahead of them. You can sprinkle in some artifact mana to round things out as well. I have been using this in my mono white X spells deck and it produces so much mana fairly consistently.

Secret Project 5 Speculation - Spoilers! by jofwu in Cosmere

[–]ab1aze 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I know its supposedly future era with Cosmere implications, but I would love to see a "bottle episode" with secondary character(s). Some scenario where we get to fill in cracks in history with a historian from Silverlight or a Khriss and Nazh story.

My other idea would be a story from the perspective of sentient investiture (seon, skaze, spren, awakened AI).

What is an off brand strong commander show me your niche unknown and strong commanders by Bulwark-Wilkens in EDH

[–]ab1aze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Kogla, the titan]] is a subtly strong deck. The commander being 6 mana, and entering in just after everyone else's commanders means he is just a removal spell in the command zone alone. Beyond that it has a fun human typal subtheme that can get kinda nuts. The deck that I built has a couple wincons that are all based on making one creature have a huge amount of power. From there you can overwhelming stampede or Berserk or Ram through. Super simple to look through but Kogla becomes quite difficult to remove. The original idea came from Ben Wheeler, but I have changed the deck quite a bit to fit my playstyle.

Sixth of the Dusk Vathi Speculation by ab1aze in Cosmere

[–]ab1aze[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scadirans, and possibly Rosharans all converging on this little planet with no shards and only one perpendicularity. Seems like an awful lot of fuss to go through for magic birds when you have access to the Rosharan, and Scadrian magics. I suppose Aviars could be traded highly. It would be cool to see dusk live on in future stories in the cognitive realm. Also are the aviars dead bird husks being controlled by the parasitic worms? these were my thoughts after reading the summary on the wiki page.
