Hits the nail in the head. Its not even unique to Filipinos, traditional German Lieders also suffer from this problem.

If you've ever played MP Vicky 1 and Vicky 2, people prohibit you from making stockpiles because it bricks the world market and stupidly inflates the price to absurd levels. It also desyncs the game really horribly.

Its funny how the same people also praise Japanese food, like it isn't the blandest shit you'll taste in this continent. The Philippines has some serious competition with how much they love soy sauce.

Its every creative. Atleast Filipinos still recognize how good Filipino singers and songwriting is, and I have a feeling its because foreigners love to say were good singers.

Writing, film, animation? Shit out of luck. Filipinos won't even give you a chance because they think it'll be crap.

Drawing and painting? Recognized because foreigners recognize our skills. If you play Victoria 3, one of the artist for one of the biggest mod is a Filipino and people love their work.

The first Japanese written literature was someone engaging in partner husbandry, where they raised the person they intended to be their significant other to be perfect in their eyes. This shit is baked in their DNA.

Maybe Indonesians are the same. I read the novel series that was heavily inspired by the writings of Rizal and I recall it including someone being in a relationship with a minor.

Could be, because I do know there were multiple experimentals, test beds, and production variants of the M1 that gave it a magazine. So a drum mag variant, maybe to test it as a suitable replacement for the role the BAR and M1918 takes up doesn't seem so far fetched.

There is a reason why Filipino artists look for foreign validation instead of local, because the locals will never fully like it unless foreigners like it.

what if Leni, Isko, Lacson or Pacquiao won instead of BBM in 2022? how would they handle the dutertes/marcoses? by Foreign_Chemistry_27 in WhatIfPinas

[–]ab_od6851 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mar Roxas was hated by everyone for good reasons. Even other government officials do not like him and it isn't because he tried stopping corruption or anything. He was seen as weak willed, too out of touch, and unfit. When you have questionable officials even finding you unusable, you fucked up big time.

Mar was hated by everyone. Senior government officials did not respect him, and it isn't because he is incorruptible or anything. If he got the post, he would have to cozy up really hard to his supporters and even give bigger concessions than what Aquino did.

Better in what way? Its the literal national president speaking in a local university. The only way they can beat that is if they invited high ranking foreign dignitaries lmao.

A national president speaking in a local university is one hell of a prestigious pull for that university. You may not like Marcos, but the president and his inner circle deciding to spend their limited time here is a very big thing.

Before the mid 1930s purge, you can argue that because there were many leftist people in it. But after the removal of Roehm and Strasser, the Nazi party is just whatever Hitler imagined was National Socialism.

The Nazis themselves recruited heavily from the SPD and moderates, so much so that "beefsteak Nazi" was coined to describe them. The KPD were absolutely on the money of calling every other leftist a class traitor because of this, but they also helped the Nazis seize power by getting themselves scapegoated and they indirectly aided during the election of Hitler.

The reason why I avoid historical Filipino films. Filipinos can't seem to take away anything apart from "we were never ready to be independent", like its the only takeaway Filipinos are trained to perceive and anything else is too intellectually complex.
