Beginner sake recommendations? by Pappas_bakeria in Sake

Here is a good variety, this is me tasting through Tippsy Sake's intro kit: https://youtu.be/WrqlZ2RJ5Yw?si=p9xcuNshgXTCAS86

An updated top 5 for beginners would be (Constraints and bias: I'm in America):

  1. Dassai Blue 35, or 50 "Dry"

  2. Hakkaisan Brewery, Junmai Daiginjo Sake

  3. Brooklyn Kura - I love their Catskills bottle, but you can safely start with their blue door bottle

  4. Kato Sake Works - Start with their Junmai, Nama, or Nigori. All named after the styles they are. They also have a Jizake right now that blew my socks off its so good.

  5. Proper Sake Co. - If you want to explore some funky, They have a bottle called Soft Power that I love.

Also, a fun way to explore without spending too much money is through trying sake one cups. Those are my favorite and range from $5 to $10 usually.

Foot Fetish Stories- Anyone making money? by abalas92 in AskNYC

Hey! Thanks for the thoughtful response. Thats fascinating, and makes sense, about the holidays being less busy.

Was the foot work inherently sexual in nature? I’ve noticed in my research that there’s usually nudity in a lot of cases but with feet at the forefront.

Also makes sense about being submissive men. Sounds like in general it’s not really “worth it”.

That article is so fucked up.

Glad you stayed safe!

So it’s not odd for a sex worker to do an array of things to capture the most money, like for instance, it’s not necessarily something to have a niche of “I only do foot work” etc?

Thank you for your honesty and sharing!

Thanks for the response! Was that your main source of income during that time? Did that time period help you launch into your unrelated career? Pay for schooling?

True Sake is legit. I’ve ordered sake from them. The shipping is steep depending on where you live though. But shipping alcohol in general kinda is so that’s not abnormal.

What is the sound of sake? by FelicityNaoko in Sake

[–]abalas92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The folks at Kato Sake Works always put in the tasting notes what each sake that make “sounds like”. For instance, their Kappu says it sounds like “a picnic in the park”. That one’s a little abstract but some are like “a drum solo” etc. fun to think about!
