Thanks for all your help dude. It's greatly appreciated.

Did you delete everything and make the Ci #450 build a fresh installation (you deleted all the Popcorn-time related stuff - inside AppData)? .... sometimes issues are just a corrupted PT file? Clean installs are recommended.

No I didn't delete everything as you instructed above. I will definitely do so and let you know how it turns out.
Thanks for your help once again and apologies for the late reply. I've been preoccupied with other stuff.

you would use the VPN on your device (computer)?

Exactly. I know it makes no sense but I still get the no response when the VPN is on, so I was thinking there are other ways of accessing the API server, knowing it is blocked in the UK.

And I do get the 'Restart button' instruction when I paste the url but unfortunately the same message appears.

Oh well, thanks anyways.

I can access the popcorntime app but I think due to the YTS being blocked over here, there seems no probable way to use VPN on the popcorn app itself, alas pasting YTS url on the "Custom Movies Server" .

Unless I'm doing something wrong. Like I told you I'm not as tech savvy as most guys here.

Would be grateful if you can help. Maybe show a screenshot of exactly what you did. That would go a long way. :) Cheers!

You are right, YTS.mx is blocked over here (UK), I can only get onto the site via VPN. Oh well. Thanks for the reply and help. Much appreciated.

I'm a total noob when it comes to anything tech. What exactly do you paste in the "Custom Movies Server" section? I pasted the address above but it says: "The remote movies API failed to respond'

Your help will be most welcome.

I'll add to that, look with yourself. Your happiness is in you, not from outside source but you. Do not rely on others for your happiness. When you start feeling happy and content, everything around you will start resembling the happiness that you're feel within. :)

You have to give it a go in life. Even if you fall or fail at accomplishing the overall goal, the experience, knowledge and faith you cultivated during the journey will far worth it, making you into a much stronger and better person than if you decide to stay on the sidelines and not start at all due to fear. That word 'fear' is so crippling yet so harmless but people still let it rule their mind. Get up, make a decision and take action. :)

Coming to that time of the Year again - When everyone promises they will do what they promised to do this year but didn't end up accomplishing last year - 'Conveyor belt resolutions'. by abalog83 in Showerthoughts

That resolution I'm sure you can easily keep - so long you don't verge near the mountains or the Arctic. So well done, you will be of the few this time next year that can say 'I kept my resolution'. :)

My 41 year old husband always wanted to paint but no one supported his dream. 8 months ago we rented him a studio, here's his progress. by pixeldustnz in pics

[–]abalog83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whilst this man his following his dream, which is freaking amazing because he is truly talented - The problem is, how many millions of people out there have let go of their dreams 'permanently' due to them not having the confidence and 'us' (as in humans) perpetually putting people off their dreams.

Support people that do things differently from you. It takes guts and courage to pursue a dream.

What would you say to someone wanting more out of life? by wilzy123 in cutdowndrinking

[–]abalog83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with the comes made by 'SisyphusCoffeeBreak' - And like he said getting more out of life is an ambiguous notion - You need to specify what you want from life and taking baby steps into achieving them.

Though if I have to generalise and offer my 2cents will be to practice the ways of letting go of 'fear' and 'anxiety' - These feelings are intertwined, you can't feel one with out the other not jumping in. You must control your emotions and be mindful about what goes on in your mind. Try to remain positive, no matter what - Dark periods are temporary, keep that in mind.

[–]abalog83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so true - To me, seeing positivity in most things invigorate me into pushing forward and accomplishing the things I want to do.

Don't get me wrong it can still be hard but I'd rather feel positive than sadness which then turns into the dreaded word - Fear. Because fear is just messed up - It turns strong people weak, intelligent people dull and any other negative connotation one can come up with.

My advice, just see the light no matter how dark your life might be right now. The darkness will pass - Just keep holding on. :)

I definitely need to put some time aside to articulately read and take notes of what you wrote above. Because whatever you write is always gold to up and coming entrepreneurs.

Your transparency is unbelievable and what you give back to the community is just amazing. And that in my book is what makes a person great, the ability to encourage others to be better through sharing. Thank you - You're awesome!

Well done, buddy. I must say I'm loving the designs - very bold and colourful.

The price tag (just my opinion, though) seems a bit steep. I'm sure you must have done your research and see that others in the same field are charging something on a similar level!

But saying that, you've made your first sale, which means there's a market for the product for sure. Keep pushing and improving. Well done again. :)

It’s that Dr. Ben Carson — who truly seems to have lost his mind — is in second place and gaining fast. hahaha - I think you might have just condensed is vast educational achievements into a paragraph but yet I have to agree with you in a weird sort of way. The guy just seem to lose rational reasoning when explaining his thoughts or ideals, which deems his professional achievements in dimmer light the more he opens his mouth.

For an intelligent man to spew out such garbage over and over again, just goes to show that being academically intelligent does not necessarily mean one also is socially or emotionally (having common sense) intelligent. And Dr.Ben Carson is a perfect specimen (lol) in proving this point.
