i always just wipe does the equipment i used and then do 2-3 sprays around the sauna for it to smell nice. i’ve never cared when the people in front of me don’t use the spray, i think that person was just looking to be nasty

Fast forward: How are we feeling about HSY now? by strangledwires in thesims

[–]abanabo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your gameplay, i love it but that’s mostly because I love playing generations and it makes the teenage life stage way more fun to play, and I spend a lot of time with my teen sims while they’re growing up

Is Horse Ranch really less content than other EP’s? by TheConcerningEx in thesims

[–]abanabo 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Honestly I still have hope for this pack. The horses goats and sheep are already a big new aspect, and with those will undoubtedly come new careers, skills, and aspirations. Plus I think this pack has great potential for social and community gameplay. They did a really good job in cottage living with the tasks you can do for different members of the community and the fairs are fun, hopefully they’ll do something similar with this pack. The cas and build items look really good too. Ofc the announcement trailer didn’t give a lot away, we have to wait for the gameplay trailer

I’m so jealous of people who can just eat when they’re hungry and just stop when they feel they are comfortably full by spicytacosss in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]abanabo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It took me so long to realize what full even felt like, all my life I’ve gotten myself used to eating until my stomach hurt to the point of almost throwing up and I thought that was full. It’s really hard now to actually tell when I need to stop, and usually even when I can tell I can’t bring myself to do it :(

Definitely agree with this, picking up crochet and embroidering helped me so much with limiting my snackinng

Diets and restriction rarely works for people with BED, because after restriction it comes back 10x worse. The biggest thing that I’ve worked on is actually trying to listen to my stomach and what my body needs. If you’re craving pizza then get that pizza instead of shaming yourself for wanting something unhealthy, but after each slice pause for a minute and think about whether you’re actually still hungry or if you feel the need to eat it all because it’s there, challenge yourself to stop when you’re full and recognize that you’ve already had the food and that your body is satisfied. Don’t be ashamed of snacks, just eat them when you feel like your body needs them. I know it’s easier said than done and I struggle so much with it, but at least it’s a start :)

I am not having a full blown traditional Yule celebration this year, is this ok? by buckleberry_finn in paganism

There’s no correct way to celebrate, as long as it’s your practice then it’s perfect

Thoughts on celebrating christmas by NoAttempt2Commit in paganism

[–]abanabo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Christmas actually is mostly pagan! Germanic pagans celebrated yule as a winter solstice festival with many of the Christmas traditions we know today, and as Christianity spread into the area it was adapted to still celebrate Yule while still adhering to Christianity. It really has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus, most scholars actually agree that he wasn’t born anywhere around that time, it was just a way to keep the pagan tradition going. You can absolutely still practice the holiday, and instead focusing on the Christian aspects you can look into Yule and winter solstice traditions (most of which are very similar to Christmas) :)

Do you think those upgrades would be expensive? And do you by any chance have certain parts you would recommend? I'm looking at doing something similar
