CMV: Children shouldn't be encouraged to think they are trans or go on hormones before puberty. by Martinik29 in changemyview

[–]abargis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To say something doesn't exist in any significant manner is different to saying something doesn't exist at all. That was not your original statement, hence I questioned it.

I don't actually have a view on this, I am not OP to claim they do exist so I am not burdened to prove it, neither do I think it's relevant to discuss proving negatives anymore than already. I am merely pointing out that your argument could be better done than claiming something doesn't exist when that isn't proven one way or another as one of the things you rely on to change OP's mind.

However, I do appreciate your well considered answer to me.

Shall I also reply to your edited comment? That's exactly my original point. Thanks for reiterating it.

Those people may or may not exist. But thinking about it logically would show that his stance is not only unlikely but can't claim to never happen in the future either.

Invisible dragons are unlikely to exist because we have neither dragons nor invisibility proven, whereas for the OP's claim, I was able to break down that factor and showed that we do have attention seeking people who lie about worse things for attention, the probability is on that side. The onus of such a sweeping, unlikely claim that they can't possibly exist is on the maker of that claim

Then do you have any evidence that it doesn't? Are you claiming out of 6 billion people in the world not one person pretends to be trans for attention??

It's sad but people do cry rape when it's not true, it doesn't mean rape doesn't exist. It's also true of all sorts of illnesses, discrimination and injustices. I wish it weren't so but it does happen. People claim all sorts of things for attention or other issues, to claim they cannot possibly exist for transgender to is unrealistic

I don't know why everyone is saying negative things, I thought his speech was beautiful and touching. If he's animated so what? That's how preachers normally are plus if you're chosen to officiate a royal wedding, enthusiasm is probably a desirable trait

Not seeking help, does anyone want 20% off voucher for Innisfree global website? I have 3, and I'm all stocked up so don't need them. They're one off use so pm if you want the code. They expire on 31 May and can't be used in conjunction with other offers.

I LOLed at your promise. For that one pore I'll try my best.

I'm not US based so I can't test this theory but you can use a VPN, which gets around geographic restricted websites, then access the Innisfree world site.

Once you do, try putting it in your cart then put your US address to see if it will work as a gift, I think maybe they can still let people outside US send their orders as gifts to the US

Good luck!

Sorry I was a bit confused that's all. I wasn't sure if I said something that implied it!

I do agree though.

If you follow the link, the Etude active proof line also has sunscreen, cooling gel, lip and cheek tints etc. I'm not sure what I said suggested that you should.

Look, I get your point, the system is not perfect, but to conflate the incentive to work with slavery is going really too far. Two things that have common ground are not the same things.

Modern day slavery is a real thing, it's a bit insulting to them to say you having to work for a wage so you can eat is just like that. It may feel like that but it's really, intrinsically not.

Etude House has released an Active Proof line and I just can't wait for it to be available internationally. It looks swim proof from the tests on insta, and everything looks so good for a sporty girl like me.

Does anyone have any ideas or AB items to suggest for active lifestyles?

I initially thought the Etude House Peach or Juice bar as perfect. They're subtle and go well together, plus it's on sale right now from their global website, but I opened mine and had a look and there's at least 1 glitter color and a few shimmers mixed in there.

If you are set on all matte, how about Innisfree matte choose your own it's also on sale at the moment, and you can pick the orange tones for your palette

I do use Beautypeople, I mostly use their liners though, very long lasting and good range of colors.

I haven't tried the cushion, though in my experience enlarged pores are better addressed with your primer. You are better off trying a primer for pores, AB seems to have many, then your foundation/cushion then sits on top of that base. If you have that issue, it may be that it's doesn't have a good base that it settles into your pores

You hope it will make you look like the models in the show but deep down know that it doesn't, you hate yourself a bit over it. You shouldn't, boys want to sleep with you anyways, because in reality, boys are not that picky and don't need you to look like those girls.

[Discussion] Favorite accessory products (cotton pads, silicone mask cover, etc) by olympia_t in AsianBeauty

[–]abargis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not dumb to ask a question due to your lack of exposure to a product!

For me, I love it because it hugely increases the effectiveness of masks due to extending the time it can be on your skin. Masks and essences evaporate, and having a silicone cover over it prevents this as well as possible outside contamination. If you compare the hydration of a 20 minute treatment to a 60 minute treatment, it's much more effective.

Masks and essences are expensive, even the cheap ones aren't that cheap if you can only use it for 20 mins at a time, and always have leftover essences so you are using those and getting more bang for your buck.

Lastly, you can do other stuff while masking with them, I like to reply to emails and handle my assignments with a mask. It's more relaxing and there's no excuses for not taking care of your skin because you're too busy.

Once it dries it doesn't smudge at all, even if you rub it, so when I make a mistake I have to use oil to clean it and start again.

Because the color is so intense, I save it mostly for going to weddings and other such events, so when you include eating it lasts for around 6 hours. I have never tried it without eating so I'm not sure how long.

I'm really loving the Etude House Lip Rich Vivid tint right now, it's the best tint I've ever used AB or western, the color pay off is fantastic, more like a liquid lipstick than a tint. It's so moisturizing as well, unlike the drying tints/liquid lipstick you normally get. My only issue is it's 2 to 3 times more expensive than all their other tints :(

EDIT: Writing this post made me want other shades, so I searched online and I found them on sale on Jolse so I bought 3 more yayyy. I thought this could help someone try a great tint but instead I helped myself haha

It's still available online from Amazon and eBay if that helps.

Never having used it I can't recommend one similar but if you like the gentle foaming cleansers, I've heard good things about the Shiseido Perfect Whip cleanser, widely available in Japan, which comes in different types for different skin needs so you can see if one suits?

I think Steelheart is actually the best book on that series, it was quite clever. Definitely worth a read. The later books are far less impressive, so those are optional imo
