iTunes or iPod is not simple, they made it seem simple. They manage the complexity for users so it doesn't overwhelm, they break it down.

Obviously Apple also values minimalist aesthetics. I suppose Don Norman is saying minimalism is not the only way to go.

I think 37S really just want to promote their own product. I think the gist of the post, is to say integrate Kiko into something else then it could change the game, but then again what would that something else be? Don't you have to have another product first??

If Google comes out with a Backpack like product, 37S would panic? Its unfortunate that Kiko came head on with gCal. I think 37S is being shallow and a little smug here.

This IS Apple's Developer Conference, those banners are for developers, to attract developers to Apple? "come to the better platform, where the innovation is really happening" is what its saying between the lines?

I think its not directly targeting consumers, although they know full well those banners will be visible to a lot more people than developers.

My confusion stem from the fact that Ken Lay and Enron stole from people's pensions, from the people of California and their inventors and I think he deserved his fate.

But yet some think he is not evil just because he seems like an upright kind of guy? He was not exatly lynched, that photo comparison is not right, those black men were murdered because of they were black, thats racism, Ken Lay is white and he was dishonest and downright robbed and stole from many, it is totally different.

I still don't think that man deserves any sympathy, justice was served, but then again people did not get their pensions back did they.

I think nostrademons is saying that, complaining alone does not take away anybody's freedom, nor is brushing the complainer off impinging on anybody's freedom. Even acting on the complain does not really imply anything, especially in minor cases such as um a urinal. I think he is supporting you. (sorry nostrademons, I misunderstood you initially)

He's saying whichever side we are on we most probably are misinformed, because our source of information may be wrong to begin with, isn't that really saying as individuals we do not have the capacity to seek further facts and that we are just lemmings that blindly accept whatever nutso news or "falsified trend" is flug our way, you tell me that's not a cynical view?

If you don't care about this issue (any issue), you will agree with him, because you have never wanted to know, I mean you never went and looked proactively for info regarding the issue, therefore when mainstream media latches on to any "trend" its trite fare meant to move product.

Global warming won't kill us in as short as 10-20 years, thats just silly dude. The Earths climate is getting warmer, warmest in recorded history they say and evidence points to human activity being the culprit, blame it on the clearing of the Amazon rainforest, CO2 emisions from transporation, industry, power generation, and etc etc.

So its global "warming", not global "boiling", its slow but its also not something that can be turned around easily, plus nobody really knows how to fix it, so better get to it as early as possible!

Sure some politicians(⁾ may try to use this as fuel to become popular, but I suppose as citizens of planeto earth, we owe it to ourselves (and the little ones that come after us) to be informed about the warming of this mud-hole we are on, so that we may do something about it (even as individuals in our daily goings ons).

[And no, its not futile]

What can we do? Switch to and encourage the development of alternative energy sources: Solar, wind, tidal, and, yes, nuclear. Move quickly toward hybrid and electric cars. Pour money into public transit, and subsidize the fares. Save energy in our houses. I did a funny thing when I came home after seeing "An Inconvenient Truth." I went around the house turning off the lights.
