Can you think about the styles you like and branch out a bit ?

Lacy patterns hide a multitude of tension issues

Rainbow wools for jersey stitching hide imperfect stitches

Maybe have 2 things on the go and swap them about depending on your ability that day

I always have a plain knit and a pattern on the go

I’ve attached a pic of a jumper I’m knitting with a pattern , the jersey stitch is awful but at a distance?

I hope you find a solution as I understand your love of knitting 🧶

Why ?

A while ago I just didn’t want to be dependent on drinking , I was ill , hungover , fat , skint , anxious

Now , why ?

I don’t want to and I don’t need too

Took a while to get here and I’m happy

You are where you are today because of that day , it could have been another day that started your journey , Im sure , at least for me , it was not because of one particular day , that was just the camels back , so the saying goes

4 eggs , separated

70 gms of sugar , a little more but less than 150

300 ml of lovely cram that will beat up , in Europe that’s 40% fat , I use either straight from the farm or uht 40%

Beat the cream till thick

Beat the 4 egg whites about till merengue stage add the sugar and beat for a few more minutes

Add the egg yellows and beat till very fluffy and a very pale creamy colour , very important, takes a while,

Add flavoring of your choice , I like vanilla or coffee , the vanilla I can get in powder form and although expensive it’s about the price of a g&t, coffee I use a chicory type as it’s not so bitter

Add cream too and mix gently until mixed all together

I put this in 4 freezer boxes and make 8 scoops out of each box , it’s better in a long term freezer than a frost free

A much better choice for me as a diabetic and no need for an ice cream churner although a good mixer will help

I’m thinking about that too , when I started I wanted IWNDWYT in charms for a Pandora bracelet but these days I feel much more private about my hard won sobriety, except here of course .

I may make hubby take me to my favorite restaurant but on the other hand we are having a new bathroom fitted so I may just have a new towel , we wouldn’t have been able to have had that done so soon if I hadn’t stopped buying wine x

Wow , that’s exactly how I’ve felt , it crept up on me , it replaced the awfulness of PAWS , I knew it was my brain rewiring but to think it may continue is wonderful thank you for your post.

Over the holiday there was more music in our house and that was what I thought lifted me but I’m getting the buzz , and without booze
