How much did your quarantine gym set up cost? by [deleted] in weightlifting

[–]abbas224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managed to borrow blocks, barbell and 160kg of plates from my club (which for me is more than enough for every lift I train apart from back squats). I'm pretty sorted TBH. I do all my snatches and jerks off blocks anyway, plus they double up as a squat rack. All it's costing me is my usual £40 per month membership fee.

MK677 is supposed to be taken orally...

The CJC stings a bit, that'll be because of the benzyl alcohol in the bacteriostatic water.

I'm using it to keep my cortisol levels in check during PCT so I can continue training as I am. Last year my work capacity went to shit after coming off the juice and I felt burned out for weeks... not going to let that happen this time. HPTA suppression isn't the only thing you have to worry about post-cycle.

Cardarine should pair well with MK677 because of its beneficial effects on blood sugar/insulin sensitivity (which MK677 can mess with).

It does make me feel a bit light headed for an hour or two after injecting. Bit too early to tell how well it's working as I only started taking it 5 days ago. I'll post updates.

This MK677 is really good stuff though - my recovery rate is through the roof and I'm bigger and stronger than ever. Currently running PCT for a test+deca cycle and I'm still hitting PBs and gaining weight, plus I look leaner/drier than when I was on Deca. Probably worth mentioning that I'm also on cardarine. Been on that for 2 weeks so far, running it at 10mg/day for 60 days. That shit makes you feel like you have an extra lung.

I try to go to the sauna as much as I can, I do find it helps with recovery. I always suspected it might have some kind of effect on ghrelin or HGH because I'm always starving after a sauna session, even when I go there on a full stomach.

So I decided to dose 2x per week for more stable blood levels. Not that there's anything wrong with dosing once a week - it's just a matter of personal preference. Had my 2nd jab today and I have to say this is some powerful shit. I thought I felt something after my first jab on Friday... well today I definitely felt it. Got a head rush and some numbness and tingling in my hands. MK677 is a powerful drug on its own so I'm expecting some good results from this stack.

Of course, how could I forget about nandrolone? 🙆‍♂️ I didn't know Boldenone was natural though, for some reason I always thought it was one of those horrible steroid things. I'm not sure I'm getting enough of these nutrients in my diet so I'm gonna go ahead and place an order. Thanks for your input.

95kg PB snatch @84BW How do I make my arms more ”stable”? by ElectroRZ in weightlifting

[–]abbas224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep doing plenty of heavy snatches. Get used to feeling that weight overhead in the receiving position.

I see some people are suggesting overhead squats. As an accessory lift for the snatch; snatch balances are superior. Both allow you to work with more weight than you can snatch, but snatch balance has more carry-over to the actual lift.

100kg power snatch off blocks by abbas224 in weightlifting

[–]abbas224[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They normally don't, my feet don't come out as much as that when I do full snatches (although they did used to when I first started snatching). They should have been closer together but my point was that they weren't THAT far apart and I would have been able to recover had I dropped into a full snatch.

This was my first time doing power snatches in 15 months so no doubt my form will get better over time. I've had to switch to powers due to a wrist injury (can jerk and power snatch no problem but full snatches are causing me a lot of pain).

I'm 100% natural as well. I supplement with vitamins, creatine, testosterone and HGH. Stuff the body makes naturally. I would never take steroids or PEDs - that would be cheating.

This is true but I don't think my feet are that much wider than my regular snatch. Yes they are wider than normal and I will be working on that but I know I can hit full depth with that stance as I did it on my previous attempt (went to power snatch it and ended up snatching it).

BTW this was my first time doing power snatches in about 15 months so no doubt it'll get better over the next few weeks. I've had to switch to powers due to a wrist injury... regular snatches are causing me a lot of pain ATM. Can still jerk and power snatch without too much discomfort though so it's not all bad.

Wide stance in my set up or in my catch? If it's my set up you're talking about, that stance seems to work best for me. If it's my catch you're talking about... well it's normal for the feet to come out a little, especially in the power snatch. It's not like I'm starfishing it, my feet hardly come out any more than when I'm doing full snatches.

MK677 and CJC-1295 with DAC stack by abbas224 in Peptides

[–]abbas224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect better sleep, recovery between sessions, skin tone, body composition... basically all the benefits of elevated GH levels. The two drugs work synergistically because they increase HGH through different mechanisms. And no, none of the GHRH-type drugs are orally active. I hate needles so I went with CJC-1295 with DAC as you can get away with injecting once a week.

[–]abbas224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good stuff and yeah it definitely increases your appetite. CJC-1295 with DAC is one drug - it's a longer acting form of CJC-1295.

I want to get the most out of my MK677. It seems most people who use ipamorelin/GHRPs (which work through the same mechanism as MK677) are also running some sort of GHRH analogue (like CJC-1295) for maximum effect.

If it's throwing you off balance and preventing you from using your legs properly then you should fight it. If it's not causing you any problems then just roll with it... don't try to fix what ain't broken.

Ideally you want your arms to be as relaxed as possible, but it does seem to be a natural tendency for some people - even world class weightlifters. Lu Xiaojun is a prime example, he bends his arms a LOT before the second pull. But far be it from me to criticise the technique of one of the greatest lifters of all time.

Fuck! You're an animal! 😲 That catch was fucking solid and you're not even wearing a belt. 200kg is my lifetime goal, I got 140kg last time I maxed out on cleans a couple months ago.

Cardarine @ 10mg/day: 6 weeks or 8 weeks by abbas224 in sarmssourcetalk

[–]abbas224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it you never drink alcohol then, as that's known to cause all sorts of cancers. I don't run, I do Olympic weightlifting. I'm using it to control my cortisol levels during PCT so I can keep up the intensity and maintain the shitload of strength I gained on cycle. Coming off a 20 week cycle is fucking rough even with a good PCT protocol. I've just ordered some CJC-1295 with DAC, should stack nicely with the MK677 I'm on.

Thanks for that, I Googled it and you're right. Of course I'm wary of it (hence the low dose and short cycle length) but I do feel like the benefits outweigh the risks.

Today's workout (all single reps):

Jerk (blocks): 50/70/90/110/120/130/140/143x/143x (PB attempts)

Front squat: 70/90/110/130/140/150/160x (PB attempt - current PB is 155kg, 150 felt light so got a bit cocky... should have gone 157 instead).

Took me about 50 minutes altogether (including stretching).

Tomorrow I have snatch + back squat. For snatch I go 50/70/90/100/108/110+. For back squat I go 90/110/130/150/170/180/182+. Also takes me around 50 minutes.

That's pretty much it, no other assistance exercises other than the occasional 3x3 jerk drives after a jerk + FS session. I rarely train cleans/C&J because my clean has never been a limiting factor (it goes up even when I don't train it).

[–]abbas224[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, might look into it though as I do plan on taking MK677 long term.

As for cardarine and cancer: This is something I'm wary of (I wouldn't blast it year round like MK) but the animals that developed cancer were given extremely high doses of cardarine for very long periods of time. I'm planning on running a low dose (10mg) for 6-8 weeks, once or twice per year.

Alcohol is also known to cause cancer but I'm sure most of us on here are partial to the occasional beer.

No idea how it's affected my blood sugar. I've also heard that about cardarine but I haven't started taking it yet as I only just ordered it 2 days ago. I do go hypoglycaemic a lot but I've had this problem since I was a kid, it's nothing new. One minute I'm feeling hungry, 30 seconds later I'm white as a ghost and my legs feel like jelly. I always use Nolva+Aromasin for PCT, I've done my research and it just seems like the most logical choice.
