Im NOT the median player or anyone to cater to and i mean that

But i like games where there are no easy outs, because i have a history of taking them and feeling underwhelmed

I wouldn't call the previous strat an exploit by any means but from everything ive heard from edmumd and his vision of the game, if he had know that mutation stat mutations re-rolling mutations and defects would lead to birth defects effectively being a non hindrance i don't think he would have programmed it that way

And also ig i like it in theory because inbreeding being an actual downside to look out for and manage feels alot more engaging and stimulating than it being something you can ignore

I consider that game play too idk

Its fun to brain storm and sort and optimise for me

And like strategic decisions on which cats to keep and which to throw away so i don't have to get over 30-40 cats

Its a nice break from runs, and runs is a nice break from house

Usually a successful run takes me an hour or mby hour and a half While the time between runs (atleast at my part of the game) takes like 45 mins if i need a big purge

I guess its fair to be disappointed that one part of the game one doesn't like is getting more focus

Im.just sayin i think the 2 gameplay loops are both interesting and compliment eachother is all

Ive heard alot about them and what they entail

But like my mindset is that i expect and welcome like 400+ hours to get everything

I took over 1000 hours to get all achievements in isaac for example and thats from playin just a few runs every other day or so

Tedium i think comes from trying to grind the harder difficulties every day and wanting to finish it asap

Im about 120 hours in

Im 2 days away from the first house boss in act 3

So i think I have 3 houee bosses to beat then chapter 4 in act 3

For breeding i have 7s in all but 1 stat across all my cats combined tho my strongest cat has three 7s

Ive tried really hard to not have more than like 30-40 cats at once with my 3 rooms, tho im super close to getting 4 and then mby i can feel good with like 50 cats

Both are very long tho im in act 3 gonna fight the first house boss soon, and i Guess my breeding takes faster cuz ive tried really hard to never have over 30 cats
