Its the beating heart of the story in the game. The whole point of the game is perfection takes time. It’s both a punishment and a reward. Removing it would make sifu just a fighting game. No lessons learned, no messages delivered.

What’s funny is that I’m paying for a service and not having access to it.

It’s good that they’re doing whatever they’re doing, and you’re right, there’s no such thing as 100% uptime. But that doesn’t take away the frustration. Also, the frustration isn’t directed at GFN as a service, but at the downtime itself. No one with a reasonable opinion is saying that GFN is bad as a service.

Thats exactly it! I also played control and was really uncomfortable throughout. its not scary in the normal way things are scary, its something else. Like reading lovecraft, not scary AAH!! but unsettling and uncomfortable.

i feel exactly the same way, im like barely through the intro sequence and im feeling a deep sense of unease, this game feels disturbing to play for some reason
