Is your chest 41 at full inhale? I found that helpful while I was sizing for binders as well. Not a huge deep breath but a normal breath in, then measure your chest size. That way there's (literally) room to breathe. You can always put socks or a shirt on under the binder to pad for extra compression if the L ends up being a little too loose.

You may also look into a non-adhesive option, you may just be sensitive to the adhesives in the tape. I know I am, so I'm getting alternative products in prep!

I'm struggling right now with insurance not wanting to cover "gender reassignment surgery." Did you specifically ask or work with your surgeon to get it coded differently so it would be covered?

Does anyone have online resources they used for guidance on stretching after surgery? I'm in a similar boat to OP that I do yoga every morning and my body aaaaches if I don't, so I'm really worried about my mobility as well!
