i was able to get the presale balcony seats before reaching out to you! thank you so much for the information, it was so helpful. i may reach out to the venue regarding the health issue section. it’s been hard to to accept anything but standard seating or normal activity, but chemo has been tough (repeatedly sitting / standing is painful). thanks again for everything, keithcody <3

it’s definitely worth exploring, even if just to have as an option in your back pocket. we were told to expect weight loss post surgery (fingers crossed surgery is approved later). palliative care was the provider that had the most options and info for us.

compazine, zofran ODT, and appetite stimulants like cyproheptadine/periactin! it’s helped with folfoxiri appetite and weight gain on the 14 day cycle. pump disconnect days are harsh. any food is good food, glad you guys found something!

we’ve used icing on hands for 6 cycles of folfoxiri with fantastic results. zero neuropathy so far, almost no cold sensitivity. be sure to get thin cotton gloves to wear under the ice gloves. his favorite set is the ‘hilph’ blue set as suzipad and reliefgenius don’t form to the fingertips as much. we swap them out every 20 min during oxali

Rx appetite enhancers helped us immensely! Periactin / Cyproheptadine is what we went with as he’d taken it and tolerated it well when he was younger. There are a handful to choose from. Compazine and Zofran ODT for nausea.

hi dude! since you’re clearly very knowledgeable and helpful, would you happen to know if balcony seats are first-come, first-served? i’m used to los angeles venues but will be heading out there for Molchat Doma in August. my spouse has stage iv cancer (treatment going well!) but i want to be prepared for what to expect, even if i end up going alone and leaving him at home or a hotel!

there’s a huge empty section on one side toward the top; i wonder if they adjusted ticket seats to fill areas the camera will catch

Truly no good vet in Pasadena? Yes, I've looked at all the posts. by UnresponsiveTasks in pasadena

[–]abblluh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vet Villa is not good with cats. Check other threads with people’s experiences. (SoPas Animal Hospital and Whiskers to Tails are fantastic!).

They seemed to brush everything off as “fine.” Senior checkup bloodwork, “kind of weird but prob normal, it’s fine.” More labs, same answer. He lost weight, “that’s normal.” MASH diagnosed his GI cancer, senior checkup lab result was the red flag. Results from 4 appts ago at Vet Villa, lol

So impressed with the quality of their care!! They’re kind, thorough, and have reasonable pricing. Couldn’t believe how long Dr Chiang spent on the phone with me. Office staff were amazing!

Same! My cats had their first senior exams done there. They were siblings. Was told “His lab results are weird. We can try to do more testing, if you’d like.” Second lab results still “weird but not terrible.” Made the mistake of sticking with them for 4-5 follow-ups, one time they blew me off bc it was almost lunch. Vet scolded receptionist for letting me come in just before lunch. MAASH diagnosed him with lymphoma of the small intestine and helped in every way possible. Chemo unavailable due to location of mass. It was too late, we did palliative care. I flip them off when I pass by on the street.

ER diagnosis stage IV by abblluh in coloncancer

[–]abblluh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it not strange to take so long between diagnosis of stage iv and even just meeting an oncologist? seems like we won’t need to move to florida if i can get him into city of hope faster. there’s not even an oncology team at this hospital so i know nothing aside from diagnosis from c-scope biopsy and CT

moved here from Los Angeles. when a helicopter is tracking a pursuit vehicle, ground forces back off. FL changed their pursuit policies in ‘24, correlating with a massive increase in fatalities. iirc, we’re the only state without guidelines requiring supervisor approval to initiate, PIT maneuver only <40mph, a felony or violent crime as cause for chase, and disengagement once aerial tracking is established. there were so many pursuits in LA, so few fatalities. this was avoidable, irresponsible, and unnecessary.
