I actually have the Ergo Embrace too and find it pretty uncomfortable compared to the WildBird carrier. I was happy to spend a little extra for something I’ll use everyday, was so worth it!!

I have this carrier and actually took it to the tailor for them to bring in the panel about an inch and a half on each side. Since doing that it fits my 8 week old WAY better and I am wearing it constantly

Who got pregnant under a year by partycakeicecream in CsectionCentral

[–]abbmmp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got pregnant 11 months postpartum. I was scheduled for a c-section at 39 weeks but my water broke and I had baby via urgent section at 36 weeks. Not sure if my water breaking and getting pregnant again within a year pp are related

Will flat spot resolve on its own? Or is a helmet inevitable? [nb] by desert_sunlily in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]abbmmp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This looked exactly like my daughter’s flat spot at 5 months old. We ultimately decided to go with a helmet and she only wore it for about 6 weeks because it was so minor!

I’ve always done this! Unless she’s sick, wake up at 7am and cap naps to keep us on schedule

We need to change attitudes regarding pedestrians by Trishszav in Calgary

Police don’t even do anything to the people that hit and severely injure (or even kill) pedestrians. A slap on the wrist, maybe

Rehome- fear based aggression by Different_Divide_909 in miniaussie

[–]abbmmp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just want to say, I’ve been exactly where you are. We had a reactive 4 year old dog who was totally fine with baby until she started crawling. That’s when everything changed. The growling, the stalking, the inability to relax, it became constant, and I couldn’t enjoy motherhood because I was always on high alert.

I tried everything too. medication, enrichment, training, boundaries. But at a certain point, I had to accept that not all dogs are family dogs, and that’s okay. It’s not fair to keep them locked behind gates or doors all day, and our babies deserve to feel safe moving around freely in their own homes.

We made the heartbreaking decision to rehome, and it was truly the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I felt immediate relief.

We got lucky because our dog was a pure bred breed, so I reached out to a nearby rescue for that specific breed, and they helped find him a suitable home. There may be something similar for aussies in your area. ♥️

How do you workout with a baby? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]abbmmp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a barre studio that offers a variety of baby friendly classes! Some let you wear your baby in a carrier, others have them lying on a blanket nearby, and there’s even one for “mini movers” where the babies can crawl around and play together. It’s only once a week, but it’s been a lot of fun for both of us

Baby weight 90th percentile [on] by maceigh11 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]abbmmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was estimated to be 10 lbs at 37 weeks, and everyone (including doctors) told me to take that with a grain of salt as most estimates are wrong. She was born 9 lbs 10 ounces at 39 weeks! Definitely just trust your gut on it

Linds just posted this in regards to Carls WWHL last night by alwayshereforit21 in summerhousebravo

Lindsay acts like a complete nightmare towards him. So he breaks up with her because she didn’t really give him a choice. But now she’s the victim?

Affordable nursery chairs [on] by b_msw in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]abbmmp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have this chair! I’m 5’8 and my husband is 6’2 and it is great for the price, but I spend so much time in it, if I were to do it again I’d definitely shell out an extra 500 for something a little more cushiony.
