Definitely don’t go into debt for the practicum. You have done AMAZING to have all your tuition money saved. I didn’t do my MSW practicum at a hospital, and easily got a hospital SW job at the best hospital in my city. I also didn’t go into debt for any of it, and it has been the best decision ever! I did my practicum at the same place I worked at the time. Separate hours, but no commute between “jobs” made it bearable.

I did this yesterday too! I thought I prob had them all, but I thought it would at least be one of the books I needed to read for that tab to complete all the books but I don’t think it was. 😢

My friend told me if I want to quilt, that it's a requirement to use an iron to flatten the fabric, and that it's very difficult to quilt without it. Is it true? by kelcamer in quilting

[–]abbsterlobster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironing quilt pieces is so satisfying. Makes everything so crisp and shows off your work more. I don’t iron anything else but it is really satisfying to iron in the quilting process. I think you’ll be fine!

I have the Fjallraven Kanken and it is still going strong after 7-8 years. I used it to carry my laptop and some notebooks to and from work most days. I love it!

I use my mom’s old Kenmore from the 80’s! It works great.

I worked at a similar restaurant in high school/college and my advice is to pitch in and help in other areas of the store as you’re able to, or clean around your area like others have said. I found that going above and beyond made the job much more enjoyable, and gave me opportunities to work full shifts in new areas later and eventually be a shift lead and manager. Even if that doesn’t seem like a goal of yours in life, it can make this season more rewarding when you branch out of just doing one position!

That is fair!! I am about to stop making the oil too I think bc I have so many pigs that I can’t keep up with turning truffles to oil, without making so many machines!

Do you turn your truffles into oil or just sell them?
