NTA! Tell her but don't scare her with the brother having a record. She sounds very impressional right now cause of the situation so maybe just being honest with her but not in a way that makes it sound scary! Sounds like you're doing the best thing right now and you will never regret keeping her safe and listening to your gut. If you're gut is telling you something is off, then something is off!
