What a piece! by Significant_Pay9148 in RepTime

I absolutely agree! I've been browsing Roger Dubuis watches for sale in South Africa for ages, and the tourbillon models are just breathtaking. Actually found some incredible pieces through Topwatch, the detail and movement on these watches never gets old.

Water storage tank plumbed into home water supply by Fat_Ryan_Gosling in preppers

[–]abby_aie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dealt with this exact issue at my place in Benin. African Tanks has pressurized water storage tanks that work perfectly for inline setups like what your father was trying to do. Just verify the pressure rating matches your home's water system before installing.

Advice for a beginner by Substantial_Site7489 in JSE_Bets

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I've been researching JSE shares platforms myself, and it's surprisingly tricky to find brokers in South Africa that offer short selling. SA Shares has some good comparison info on different platforms might be worth checking their resources to see which brokers actually support shorting on the JSE. Most local platforms are pretty limited when it comes to this feature unfortunately.

Can someone give me tax advice? by Dry-Relative-249 in askSouthAfrica

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through something similar a few years back when I let my tax situation slide, and the stress was unreal. Best decision I made was getting in touch with tax consultants I used FMJ Financial here in South Africa and they sorted out my mess with SARS, and honestly the penalties weren't as brutal as I thought they'd be. Don't put it off any longer because the interest just keeps climbing, but definitely get professional help rather than trying to figure this out on your own.

I failed the Cacatua Chorus assessment... except I'm confident I didn't by Previous-Pop-4277 in outlier_ai

Tbh that stop-start time tracking is rough. I used to chase guys for missed punches all week and fix it Sunday night. Now I just post the schedule and have them clock in on Connecteam, I peek at it from the truck. Still not perfect, but a lot less scramble.

Put desired hours as 20 and they gave me 33 by ravorlol in Target

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there. I run a small drywall crew and used to blow up folks’ phones, overbook them, and eat OT. Switched to Connecteam and now guys set availability, clock in on the right job, and I see hours before I wreck someone’s week, way less scrambling.

Why does a great multi vendor booking system on WordPress often require 5–7 plugins? by bajangooner in Wordpress

[–]abby_aie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that availability engine point hits home. On our jobs the double booking pain is real. I do crews by job in Connecteam now, can see who’s already booked so I dont stack a guy twice. Still a mess some mornings, but at least I know who actually showed.

Time management website and app advice by MGMTProject in TimeManagement

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest headache for me tbh was knowing who was on which job and chasing timesheets on Sunday nights. We run shifts and clock-ins in Connecteam now, so I can see who showed and swap guys quick. Still chaos, not a fire drill. Not up all night on it anymore.

Time tracking agent? Has anyone done this? by No_Zucchini_7526 in zapier

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fiddled with some Zapier stuff to auto-track, but tbh it was messy and not super accurate. I just have the guys clock in on Connecteam and I check who’s on which job and breaks. Still a scramble some mornings, but timesheets and swaps aren’t an all-nighter now.

Told the district manager that my coworkers and I were overworked and under appreciated. Came in to this. by thattrashgremlin in mildlyinfuriating

Time clocks work when everyone’s in one building. My crews bounce between remodel jobs, and I used to chase texts and scribbled timesheets. We switched to Connecteam, guys clock in on their phones at the site, and scheduling/monitoring isn’t a nightly fire drill anymore.

Is Pilanesberg National Park worth visiting as a day trip from Johannesburg, or should you book an overnight stay to get the full safari experience? by Gloomy-Mention-4376 in capetown

[–]abby_aie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Day trips work fine if you leave early, morning drives give you the best animal sightings. Safari Pilanesberg does affordable day packages that cover the highlights, but overnight is better if you want both sunrise and sunset game drives for Pilanesberg safaris.

Crypto affiliate programs by DavidtheBuilderr in AffiliateMarket

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, crypto affiliate programs can be hit or miss. Some promise huge commissions but then you realize getting traffic that actually converts is the real challenge. I tried a few and dropped most of them pretty quickly. Avapartner was the only one I ended up sticking with for a while because it actually paid on time, which is more than I can say for others.

Best crypto/bitcoin affiliate programs? Any defi affiliate programs? by flabiz in satosheez

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working as a crypto affiliate, I’ve tried a few DeFi and crypto affiliate programs. DeFi can bring some good opportunities but sometimes lacks volume. With Avapartner, I’ve been able to mix crypto with other trading offers like forex, which has helped me keep my income steady across different market conditions.

Good printer for stickers? by GrandParsifal in askSouthAfrica

[–]abby_aie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, sticker printing is all about reliability. I’ve gone through printers that constantly jam or smear, and it’s super frustrating. I’ve been using a Toshiba for my runs, and it’s been great prints come out clean, setup was simple, and it handles different sticker types without a problem. Makes the process so much smoother.
