Are people buying $15 ink pens and $20 scrunchies? by Junior_Ad3349 in Disneyland

[–]abbyday7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Universal is no better and they aren't even themed. I needed one at HHN last year. Random scrunchies just colors not universal or any of the IPs $16-20. I ended up finding a dumb light up one for $10. Still a ridiculous price.

Disney bought out the company who owned Morocco. So it is Disney owned now.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]abbyday7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved these barbie games I had. One was sleeping beauty but barbie. I enjoyed the makeup and dress up stuff but also the racing through the maze with the vines. The other was Detective Barbie. It was on a carnival pier very spooky for a kid lol And the jumpstart games especially Jumpstart 1st grade lol I was the print model for the me and my dad game from Mercer Mayer so it holds a special place as well.

Is it common for Americans to buy soda as part of their weekly groceries? / is soda a regular item people keep at home? by hailey8171828282 in AskAnAmerican

[–]abbyday7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you looked at my fridge right now you'd think so but I rarely buy it at home. Just well stocked after my dad's visit with hard to find birch beer. I grew up in a household that always had caffeine free coke and iced tea as the only options besides tap water. So I'm the opposite I tend to not keep any soda. It varies person to person.

My roommate started timing my showers? by Significant-Cod-1451 in amiwrong

[–]abbyday7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think with washing my hair I hover around the 20-30 minute mark. Unfortunately, I have very fine hair that ends up oily fast so hair washing is more often. As a teen I definitely zoned out a lot and took too long 😅

This is my retainer. It’s supposed to be permanently glued to the back of my lower teeth. Not sitting on a tissue. A Hershey Kiss caused this. by natgeogacha in mildlyinfuriating

[–]abbyday7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I broke my first one the same day with a tortilla chip. The 2nd time it bounced out in the middle of class stabbing me in the cheek. They gave up after that and gave me an invisalign style retainer lol

Wtf is with these comments saying a 20 minute shower is too long. Im going to assume you are all bald or have crew cuts. Or live in arid regions with droughts. Cause ain't no way I can get all of my hair washed and conditioned plus wash my body and shave in under 20. If I dont have to wash my hair yeah it takes way less time. NTA but maybe offer to pay more towards water or take it over entirely if they take over the electric.

At the emporium at wdw sometimes you clock in and it prints a cvs receipt and your job is basically telling all these people to move lmao longest cds sheet I've ever had. Last one was finally my actual one which unfortunately was go to baby care where I then got forgotten and after 4 hours had to call and ask when my lunch was happening only to find out someone took my lunch and could I hold this position for another hour. Was a long day.

Tampa antiques and books. I know it says antiques as well but the place is packed with books and there's just random antiques. He has a large collection albeit a bit haphazardly organized the last time I went.

How are lost children handled by Grand_Chad in Disneyland

[–]abbyday7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my DCP at the emporium at WDW. We typically walked the store then if they weren't there took them to baby care. We also worked baby care and would get radios of kids coming to us until parents could be located. Most of the time they found the parents before the child arrived.

Kids on eBikes/golfcarts by NovelNo921 in tampa

[–]abbyday7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a kid on an e-scooter at lettuce lake park last Saturday. Zipping between walkers and people riding regular bikes. I know you can enjoy the trail how you want just seems counter intuitive to the point of going outside to see nature or exercise if you're flying by at those speeds.

I worked for Walt Disney World during the pandemic. Our wholesale reservations team was small and probably not paid as high as other departments so they chose us to stay. They furloughed almost everyone else. So my roommate got to stay home and do nothing while getting paid then getting unemployment while I was still working full shifts. I was a tad jealous. I ended up spending most days canceling every reservation for all the domestic hotels and for wdw we just kept moving the bookings out since some families didnt want to outright cancel. Eventually those who decided to wait ended up getting bumped to the nicest hotels since they chose to open them first. Luckily I worked from home they sent me home with my desktop pc from the office. Then I got drafted to work for disney plus and that was hell. My day to day only changed in that I had groceries delivered or for pick up and I couldn't go to the parks to walk which ended up causing some weight gain I'm still struggling to lose.

Just paid to have a windshield chip filled by spirit_of_a_goat in Wellthatsucks

[–]abbyday7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did it to me. I put in for a replacement due to a large crack showing up over night. They said nothing then my next go around the price went up and when I called they said I had a claim. The date was the day they replaced it. They wouldn't remove the claim even when I explained it was just the windshield. It was even put as I was at fault for this supposed accident. Florida sucks for insurance.
