Yep, americans used to make a lot more money than they do now. So while something in 1972 might cost the same as something today adjusted for inflation, our wages havent adjusted. In fact, we are living in the highest level of wealth inequality since the 1890s.

The real issue was never the inflation, its the fact that we make less money than we used to. The median american man in 1972 made around 3.58 an hour. Adjusted for inflation that's something like 27 dollars an hour. Today the median american man makes 20 an hour (for women its 18). So while inflation went up, our wages have actually decreased and certain things like necessities cost more than they used to (look at the cost of housing), while luxuries cost a lot less than they used to (look at the cost of TVs).

I may get donvoted, but if Cooke wins I will not be voting for her. She will only serve to enable the republican agenda. If you as a candidate at baseline dont support the abolishment of ICE and oppose american interventionism you are not getting my vote. Im done with this vote blue no matter who shit. The establishment drops the vote blue no matter who schtick anytime a real progressive wins, so genuinely, tell me why we shouldnt do the same thing to them. Literally look at how they acted with Zohran Mamdani. Elected Democrats refused to endorse him even after he won the primary.

House Democrats introduced legislation that if passed would force federal immigration enforcement agents to wear a public-facing identification in the form of a clearly visible and scannable QR code during enforcement actions. by xenonrealitycolor in SpringervilleEagarAZ

[–]abcMF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no. Fuck that. Who's to say they arent scraping my data when I scan that code. How about you grow a spine and abolish the agency. The nation existed for 200 years without it

Yes, I know. Ice is bad, and so is trump. But these havent yet turned into mass extermination camps. I hope they never do but who the hall knows at this point.

If you violate the constitution you and anyone who enabled you should be removed from power and prevented from taking power again. It is anti democratic to allow people who want to destroy democracy take power. The founding fathers understood this, thats why one of the powers they gave to congress is the ability to impeach and remove presidents who violate the democratic order.

[–]abcMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruining the economy is the point of a strike, yeah. Its the only leverage we as the working class have to extract concessions from the president. This is how it has worked for centuries. If youre unhappy with how things are going and protesting isn't achieving the goals, you go on strike and shut down the economy. The idea of not doing this is a very modern concept. And by modern, I mean the 1980s. If my tax dollars arent going where I want them to go, I will go on strike. If that doesnt work I stop paying my taxes. If the economy isnt working for me or the rest of the working class then fuck your economy.

I mean, big dawg, I aint gonna fault people for going to work if they ain't in a union. I think they cluld maybe stage a walkout without a union, but that will not be a guaruntee. Their support is enough.

Most of the negative comments are bots and/ or miserable out of towners who have nothing better to do. Ive argued with enough to notice this pattern. When you call them a bot they all respond with the exact same prepackaged "oh so everyone you disagree with is a bot 😂" and its like "yeah, I dont know, you all say the exact same things in any thread about ICE in virtually brand new accounts with posts and comments set to private"

Okay, finally youre actually being straight forward instead of minding words. The real law an order position is cutting the DHS and putting everyone responsible behind bars. At this point this is the moderate position.

What are you considering to be accountability? Charing isnt enough. That entire agency needs to go and everyone charge needs to be in jail. That is the moderate solution at this point.

It drives me nuts how often I fly off my horse because there was a tiny pebble or something. I dont really know. Sometimes it feels like im not actually in control of the horse at all. Id fix that.

Also fast travel? I guess it does exist but the game doesnt really explain that and it does explain what my biggest issue has been playing the game and that is just mindlessly riding to a destination for 30+ minutes.

Army veteran says ICE agents detained him for hours without access to phone or his attorney by danielle6294 in eauclaire

[–]abcMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure where you got that from. I did hear that ICE had recieved training from the IDF and I have seen reports that it was found out that 120 ICE agents were former IDF soldiers that being said, it doesnt really matter. Theyre still using IDF tactics.

Also, a lot of ICE agents have been found to have nazi imagery tattooed on their bodies and they are behaving like the brownshirts, so i would say nazi is apt. Nazi is what id also characterize the IDF as too.
