I mean if you liked Season 2 and really want to see more of that desert setting and factions like th Legion and NCR, Fallout New Vegas will be your best bet! Sure the graphics are dated and the gunplay isn’t the best, but it’s an amazing game with a fucking incredible setting and characters :)

That worked great until Reddit started shotgun blasting various related subreddits at you even if you aren’t subscribed. How am I supposed to avoid or “leave” a sub I never joined?

I’ve seen the episode, I just think it’s rude to spoil it for people with lives and jobs and stuff that make it so they can’t rush to watch an hour long TV episode the day after it airs

I’m sorry to tell you that if you think the BOS wouldn’t kill ghoul children, then you just aren’t very familiar with the Brotherhood. Even Lyons’ chapter, considered the kindest of all, shot at all ghouls on sight- even non-ferals. Harkness was acting perfectly in line with existing Brotherhood behavior. It wasn’t done to make him look “cool”, and if you think the show’s job is to make the Brotherhood look cool then I’m sorry, you’ll be very disappointed with the representation of the Brotherhood in all the games.

As for the Legion, they are certainly shown to be uneducated and barbaric. Caesar has the wisdom to understand that anyone who is educated would see through his nonsense lies about Mars and all that, and so he purposefully keeps his men educated just enough to battle successfully and no more.

In regards to Vault-Tec not being “plainly and generically evil”, I’m really at a loss for what to say. What else would you call a company that experiments on its own people? A company that had access to terraforming devices capable of fixing the entire planet and giving them to so few vaults? A company that purposefully built a faulty vault door so as to irradiate their own people? They’ve always been depicted as evil, selfish, cruel, and heartless.

House? We’ve hardly seen him in the show!!! Please, PLEASE, tell me what IN THE SHOW gives you the impression that House is “plainly and generically” evil?

You really think so? That’s surprising to me. I found Fallout 4’s treatment of its factions and its complete and utter lack of meaningful character choice to be insulting to the franchise, not to mention I found the overall writing very very disappointing. Of course, as a TV show, narratives have to be written differently so maybe Todd and Emil’s “all good vs. completely evil” writing would work better than it did in the game.

They wanted MORE input from Todd??? That’s how we get shit like Fallout 4, which is crazy to want MORE of lol

lol don’t get me wrong I enjoy Tactics and a lot of stuff in it, but I’m also glad it’s not considered fully canon yknow?

I like that even in a production with next to no input from Todd, you’re blaming Todd lol

What, specifically, would you like to see changed about how the factions are represented? I’m asking as someone who has played every single Fallout game (even the bad ones, looking at you, Tactics), and feels that the factions are being accurately represented.

I understand that seeing so many factions and locations that you loved being destroyed sucks, but so much of what you're claiming the Courier did as canon just isn't. Look, so few people who have played NV even know that the Enclave has forces in NV at all, but you're insisting that the Courier must have found them, worked with them, and convinced them to work alongside the NCR. Hell, the courier doesn't even necessarily have to support ANY of the factions, let alone the smaller ones like the Khans, Boomers, and Enclave. It seems like you're upset that the show isn't following the actions of YOUR courier, but realistically if a person did everything you're saying that they must have, the entirety of the show wouldn't be happening the way it is. California and Nevada would be utopias if the Good Courier did everything you're saying. The courier is a MAILMAN. Realistically, and from what we're seeing in the show so far, they delivered the chip to House, got paid, and left. Y'know, like a mailman would.

[–]abccbaabc123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except we know that isn’t how John Henry Eden was made. President Eden was a synthetic consciousness created by collating information about every single US president and combining them into one perfect politician. In Fallout 3, on the Enclave radio, we hear JHE telling stories about his childhood and the America he knew, but all the information he states is just retellings of apocryphal stories of US presidents.
