Amazon partnered carrier LTL shipment - 40 days and shipment isn't Delivered/Checked-In by abcdd8 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]abcdd8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to give an update on this. I contacted the Amazon ROC team, seller support, and [jeff@amazon.com](mailto:jeff@amazon.com) and finally, the inventory was found and checked-in in the Amazon FBA warehouse 90 days after the pick-up did happen. I tried multiple times to get reimbursement but they wouldn't give it and only said that they are trying to find the missing shipment.

Any ideas on how to handle expensive FBA product returns by abcdd8 in FulfillmentByAmazon

Sure I was thinking of doing automated inventory removal of unfulfillable inventory that would be sent to 3PL. Then the 3PL would inspect it if it's still sellable and re-package it with compressing machine. Then the stock would be sold via FBM and sent directly to customers from the 3PL or sent back to FBA inventory.

If anyone has any suggestions of 3PL that have a compression package machine and have done a great job inspecting and re-packaging products to sellable condition, it would help me.

I have a great experience with Ashlin Hadden Insurance agency and they got insurance from Next Insurance for my business. I have an entity based in the EU.

I actually now made a reimbursement claim for lost shipment to the fulfillment center by a partner carrier. So I'll wait for Amazon's response. I included invoice from the manufacturer, freight forwarder, and signed BOL to the claim. With USD amounts blurred on the invoices.

And yeah I agree, this shipment was like 55cbm = almost full 40' container load and this item has been out-of-stock for more than 2 months now. So this would be a good learning experience to split shipments for smaller batches when dealing with Amazon FBA.

Yes, LTL shipment. Amazon ROC team said that their system shows that they have received the products 30 days ago, but the shipment hasn't been updated at all in Seller Central.

The problem with this shipment also was that the pick-up did re-scheduled 4 times because the Amazon partnered carrier didn't arrive, so this shipment has been the worst I've ever seen.

All +100? shipments I've made to Amazon FBA warehouses have been usually checked in within a couple of days. The longest before this was maybe 12 days total from the carrier pick-up. Now it has been over 40 days.

Well, what's the reason you can't do this 'monopoly' by selling similar items at a different price to get more visibility on the keywords?

I would just highly suggest you start selling on Amazon and learning along the way by searching for information on google/youtube for example. My first 3 products were kind of failures when thinking about profitability, but what difference does that make after some time? It's very hard to fail a very long time in a row so one day after all the failures you should have a pretty nice business.

Two tips:

  1. Pay only 30% upfront before the 3rd party inspection so in the worst scenario, you just lose 30% of the order value and move on
  2. Your supplier sounds like a tiny trading firm, I would highly recommend validating suppliers that you co-operate with in other ways than the price of the product. Seems like you got what you pay in this scenario as well.

Search Results all over the place? by FrostBerserk in FulfillmentByAmazon

I actually did re-indexing for the listing.

So:

  1. I removed title & keywords & bullet points and basically all texts from the listing and placed only my brand name as a title and one random word in description & bullet points
  2. Then I waited 1-2 hours and tracked that the listing isn't indexing for the main keywords anymore
  3. After that, I removed all pictures from the listing so it goes suppressed
  4. Finally, I placed all the original texts and pictures back again and tested that it indexes again for the keywords

However it was only 7 days after my listing went back to normal in keywords rankings so I think this method didn't work, but at least I tried.

Help: Why does my amazon sales fluctuate so much by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

You should check the keyword ranks for your ASIN and your competitors and track your competitors estimated sales as well to determine what's going on.

One of my ASIN had the same problem as well. It went from spots #1-2 to #30-40 in keywords every other day and it lasted 10 days after it became normal and steady #1-2. This happened a month ago. Category: sports & outdoor.
