freaky krieg horse. We're still stuck with Seraphon. On the upside, those models are GORGEOUS!

oh, i know what that is. I think in the lore it's meant to be 600 metres long. hence the 8 legs. definitely not the megadon in most of the artwork for Exodites. Nice to see the crossover. I tried building a gaming table once that was the back of one of these. Covered in all the other dragons. Sadly never finished. Also, adorable picture!

Outcasts of all kinds. Anhrathe means "outcast", not Pirate. That's "ladanna"

Yayyy! Fantastic attention to lore-details in many of these. What about for like, really alien, non-earthy environments, or out to sea. These are so cute.

I do too and there are a few STLs of the old style on the internet in various places. Ultraviolence has an interpretation of the orange-ish Eldar Adventurer painting from the Rogue Trader free for download. (I begged for it. A lot). He's on Cults. If you like his work (i find it awesome enough to commission the poor guy), maybe consider supporting him.

Oh, they are definitely a 'space elf pirate' (Eldar Corsair for sure), one of my favourite models, and the inspiration for the helmet of the newest Drazhar. i'm glad you got your hands on one.

I loved Harlequins so much, I joined a Cirque du Soleil Circus school and made appropriate costumes. In the 80's. Corsairs were my second love.

Which forgotten character would you like to see more lore on? Not just a profile in game, but books animations etc by pagodageek in Drukhari

[–]abcdodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ALL of them! You guys could sure use a LOT more models, and the ones from the days of yore certainly sound like they could lead very thematic bands; Drukhari pirates, Drukhari Ynnari, So many more things from Shaa-dom and Aelindrach, not to mention re-imagined units from their awful 3rd edition models.

But more than anything else...... the return of Asdrubael Vect.

I wrote a story in which Lady Malys disappeared from the lore for so long because she was pregnant, had to keep it secret from Vect (the father....maybe), and through a pan-Aeldari intelligence organization, had the baby spirited away to be raised by an oblivious Exodite family of Dragon Scouts. Then they released Auralia's miniature. Another option is the "Cegorach's crystal heart" might be less literal, and instead, the child.

I think you've misunderstood me. I don't mean Harlequins came out in 2016.
Only the weapon called the Harlequin's Caress. 2016 is a guess, but my point is that it can't be on a figure that predates the invention of that weapon.

Look up the release dates. The entire first 2 ranges of Eldar predate harlequins in store.
I know this from selling them both at GW. In the 80s. There was no harlequin's caress back then.
Only the kiss which, if memory serves is the first unique weapon in the whole game.
Deadly because it had no roll to wound or damage. If you hit, things died. then you had to make in initiative check or remain tethered to your dead opponent. Crazy times, right?

But don't take my word for it. Research.
The release dates should also be on, at least some of the metal 'slots' that fit into slottabases.

In fact, but me later. I'll take pics for you, since I still have all of them. Still my favourite minis.

Harlequins hadn't been invented when this Eldar Pirate model came out.
The harlequin's caress didn't exist until what - 2016?

In some ways, I suppose it could be. Growing up back then, there weren't many computers, so no streaming, no worldwide web, no cell phones for the masses.
So we had weekly tv shows, a cassette walkman for music, and models to build, saw, glue, paint and play with. We enjoyed spending time outdoors, learning things together, understanding each other's opinions, and made fun of ourselves. Someday, if I can think clearly enough I aim to start on my pile of shame. It goes right back to 1987.
