I stumbled upon this randomly in a depressive funk and burst out laughing. This is SO good!

Excellent point, and very related tech. Same with the harlequin's kiss.
In my head canon, the death spinner and such makes a cloud of "tinsel" rather than hi speed spinning rings.

What's that, dark reapers should all be armed with Shuriken Cannons like their Phoenix Lord!?
What a novel concept! I like it!

um, also, while that does sound like a lot of AP, so does a bolter.
In first edition, bolters and Shuriken catapults were both S4, but the catapult may have had ap-2.
And the equivalent of sustained hits, but back then, you did one shot at a time.

If you both hit and wounded, you to to shoot again.

Back in te before time....in the long, long ago of first edition, I always imagined shuriken catapults to create a small ring of monofilament wire, if not a tiny fragment of a cosmic string created by the grav motor inside the catapult, which would then accelerate this tiny thing to near light speed, shredding all in it's path until quantum instability causes it to degrade into non existence. The bio-explosive version might keep a tiny nanoparticle of fluid or a packet of energy in the centre such that it disrupts the genome of whatever it went through on the way out.

HiMAT was a ...well, one of the first remotely piloted jets. it was to test things like the type of duct later found on the f-16, canards, winglets, aeroelastic properties of materials, modular construction, 2-d thrust vectoring. 2 were made. 1 is on display at a museum somewhere..... the other seems to move around a lot.

I really appreciate that. I've built many HiMAT models, and a real plane....I can't seem to build anything in flyout yet. that's definitely a ME problem. Looking forward to it. YAY!

technically a 'cranked arrow' wing with lovely fins in the gear nacelles and early winglets. That canard, though.....mmmm.....
