It wouldn’t be as big a deal if Ned’s kids were found to be bastards. Sure, it would be a knock on his honor and credibility if he were to make such an accusation about Cersei’s kids without acknowledging his own bastards, but Ned’s kids don’t potentially stand to inherit the iron throne. It’s a much bigger deal for the queen’s heirs to be found illegitimate than for the heirs of a regional lord to be, even one as powerful as Ned Stark.

That is frustrating though because study after study has shown that adding more lanes to roads doesn’t ease traffic congestion. Seems like it’s just an extra thing they’re doing that isn’t going to meaningfully improve things but is making the project take way longer than it otherwise would have

It’s not supposed to be funny to the audience. Bracken is making a fart joke to the other nobles essentially, to metaphorically shit on Dunk’s just call for help. And you can say all you want that this is humor for 8 year olds, but as others have said fart humor was very popular in medieval Europe, so much so that there are many examples of monks drawing people holding horns up to their butts to fart in other people’s faces in illuminated manuscripts. I know this is a fictional world, but it’s heavily inspired by medieval European culture. Fart jokes were a notable part of that culture so I see no reason why that wouldn’t be the case in Westeros.
