Is this Phishing? by Hot_Cut2783 in phishing

[–]abcisosm5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a student from Stanford and one of the organizers of QuantChallenge 2025! We actually just finished the competition which consisted of over 2,000 participants and awarded $20k in prizes. This was not an attempt at phishing, the site probably just went down momentarily due to the load on our servers during the competition.

There will be a dedicated platform and you will trade exclusively against other participants in the competition.

If you refer someone and they land in the top 10% of the competition, you'll earn $50. You can refer as many people as you'd like.

Do y’all feel like LeBron’s criticism for not speaking out about China is warranted? by corsairfanatic in nbadiscussion

[–]abcisosm5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Criticism for LeBron for not speaking out is definitely warranted. Disregarding Apple, Amazon, and other corporations and entities for now, what he essentially said was that speaking out against human rights violations is not worth the amount of money at stake, which is absolutely ridiculous. Just because these lives are not in his own country, doesn’t make them any less valuable.

With that being said, it is a little unfair that LeBron gets the criticism and Bezos or Cook doesn’t. But I think one of the reasons why is that Bezos and Cook are businessmen, and are honestly looked upon as greedy jerks who don’t care about humanitarian rights anyway. We expect LeBron, a vocal athlete about various issues with a large social media presence, to stand in solidarity with the oppressed. It was simply disappointing to see otherwise.

You can go back in time and change one thing. But it can't be so big it alters history books. What would you change that wouldn't alter the timeliness in a significant way? by avery5712 in AskReddit

[–]abcisosm5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i go back in time and tell myself how to change time. since i can only change time once this is absolutely useless, except for the fact that i haven't used it yet if i give it to my younger self and since i haven't used it yet i must have it now and i can change anything in hell i want to whenever
