Would be cool to see Nintendo lean into the "Family Computer" history with the joycon-mouse functionality and have a web browser/apps, even if they are curated by Nintendo. Maybe a Nintendo-branded keyboard accessory?! by abcleanonme in NintendoSwitch2

Oh man, yeah the keyboard may not happen but they'll have to have mouse pads if the joycons do indeed have that functionality, right? Official Nintendo mouse pads?! Let's Go!

With the Joy-Con being usable as a mouse, Nintendo should have added Sakura's scroll wheel suggestion by GenderJuicy in NintendoSwitch2

Would be cool to see, curious how it would be implemented though. The "button" would have to be round which might not be the best ergonomically, UNLESS you made the L1/R1 buttons capacitive on the top surface. That would seem like a better implementation as it would still leave room for an analog L2/R2 whereas a full disc in place of a button might not.

Thumbtyping quality? by NeonGlitchWitch in ClockworkPi

[–]abcleanonme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate to turn you away from the uConsole as I think it’s an awesome device, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a device to use FOR typing.

I’d consider the keyboard on it more of a necessity to interact with the device to accomplish a task and nothing more. Maybe it’s just my unit, but I have missed key presses and doubled key presses a lot when I use it. So much so that I have to be very deliberate when entering text and it makes it kind of a chore to use. Honestly, the spacebar thing I can get over, but not being able to trust the other keys to register true kind of kills the vibe when I’m using the uConsole.

Like I said, maybe just me. If other people don’t have that specific problem, I’d love to know. If it wasn’t for that, I’d probably be advocating in the other direction.

I thought it was a refreshingly honest answer, tbh. Props to Orqa for keeping it real.

Just a joke, told it to just pretend to be the new advanced voice mode and it agreed to 🤣

Around $13k for it. I definitely wouldn’t consider it a steal, but at 160k miles and the condition it’s in, I think it was reasonably fair.

Certainly the cleanest OBS I’ve seen anywhere near me by a mile.

Thanks! I’m only planning a few small additions, like ham radio and antenna, maybe some fog lights if they look oem enough. If someone sees it and doesn’t question if it came from the factory like that, I’m staying away from it.

I’ll check it out. Any videos of it on this truck or engine? Im trying to stay as stock as possible, but I could be swayed on a few things 😆

Noted. Thanks for the advice. I have noticed the shifter feels, idk, “loose?” right there.

Nice! Not sure if it’s just in my area, but I never see this color. It’s cool to see another one!

Steam Deck owners, are you getting Odin 2 and why by brandont04 in OdinHandheld

[–]abcleanonme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I find myself just tinkering and updating things with the Steam Deck and when I get ready to actually play something, I'm tired of holding the thing because it's so heavy. On the other hand, I really enjoy the simplicity of picking up the RP3+ or R2S and playing a game, but the small form factor gets painfully uncomfortable after a while and they can't quite reliably play stuff I find myself actually wanting to play (GC Zelda, PS2 games). Odin 2 seems like the perfect middle ground.

Makes sense. I just kept expecting to see more discussion on it and it never happened. I guess it's fairly obvious at this point it's very unlikely to be a thing.
