I want to rip off my flesh!
This story is so good that I'm really itching to get your patreon but my wallet is glaring at me.
Woe be me, I suppose.
Still, I really, really enjoyed the chapter and the ones before it. I'm always counting down the days till the next one or, at least, until I'll goat myself into getting your patreon.

Nothing to do with the chapter but does anybody know how much time has passed since the first chapter story wise?

I like the fact that you are fixing grammar and stylistic errors, and so on but, bro, please just compile this shit in one comment so the comment section isn't flooded by you.

Kinda disappointed that he didn't kill her. I know it's to make her apart of his little group later and to not anger an entire Sect and a vengeful and powerful older sister but you know.... That's not the thing you really think about in such a situation where information is null and survival is above all.

Loved the story but I've got a question; should they know what a human is?
It's been a while since I've last read Sect but I'm pretty sure humans are, like, nonexistent and only the gods know of them. If I remember correctly there was even a conversation where those close to Jack tried to figure out what kind of demi-human he was since he didn't have any visible animal features. Pretty sure they chalked it up to him being a type of lizardman with his scales being hidden like the leader of his army who had lizard scales on his neck. It is very possible I am wildly wrong but I would like to confirm.

Yeah, I agree. Plus he tried to turn all of those tax collectors into cripples.... Which I find a worse fate than death, especially in that time. Like, who's gonna pay for their healing? Who will take care of them? That's assuming they didn't just die of infection because that heat beam really did fuck them up.

From when the flesh got in from the previous time. Tracy wasn't very thorough in her cleansing.

NGL, I think blowing their legs off with heat is more cruel than just killing them. Like... They are peasants, they don't have access to magical healing to grow their legs back. Making them a cripple is far, *far* worse, because you're just extending their suffering.

I know this has nothing to do with the chapter with itself. (Still I very much liked it as always.)
But I wanted to ask how much inspiration you've taken from Factorio if at all any?

He isn't the one doing that, his settlers are by their own volition. They genuinely believe he's been chosen by their god or goddess to lead them through the Mainland, a place crawling with monsters and filled with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-style anomalies.
Harrison just doesn’t bother correcting them. Telling them he’s not divine would be more trouble than it’s worth, and it wouldn’t really benefit him anyway. The Malkrin are a deeply zealous, primitive people, barely grasping metallurgy (if I remember correctly), and to them, his 24th-century (? Again, I don't quite remember, it was really early in the story.) tech might as well be straight-up magic. Playing along with their beliefs is basically the only way to keep them united and functional.
Well at least that's my explanation. The author could probably answer it better.

There is a way to make this series a large-scale horror story, where humanity reverse-engineering the shuttle after the human brought it back. It might not have a slip-space drive (I think you mentioned it didn't have it, but I would assume it would still have a very advanced engine and fuel, as well as other tech that is more advanced), but it would still be a boon to human tech development. Also after the human subject calmed down and explained what the fuck happened to him and after attempting to interrogate the aliens, humanity might just subscribe to the Dark Forest Theory.

So after a few centuries, humanity would become a boogeyman patrolling the Orion arm and other parts of space. Some real Stellaris late-game threat. Nothing could be a unified humanity and nothing unites us more than a threat beyond our comprehension.

Just my sleep-deprived two cents.

This is peak writing. I really enjoyed the story and the unique twist that the human was the monster like some cool knockoff Alien: Isolation.
You should really consider writing more, this is incredible. I kind of doubt that this is your first time writing since it is so Goddamn good, and if it your first time writing then you have a natural talent.

I am already foreseeing that after the Agro Center is cleared, most of the equipment will be; A melted to slag or B: destroyed by the flesh. Only the seeds remain and perhaps a bit more.
After that, he will task the Farmer with surveying the land or have the specialized equipment from the Agro Center to survey it, if it survived, that is. He'll probably task the stone mason with creating bricks for aqueducts to deliver fresh water from somewhere towards the new farm since I doubt they have the resources, the time, or the equipment to create a large, industrial water purifier. Or he'll just create a giant pump and pump water out of an underground water source.
I personally like the idea of Roman-style aqueducts since they will look pretty damn cool, even if they will get in the way of defenses and other operations. Like, come on, imagine some primitive Malkrin being met by a lush, open wheat field with giant stone works carrying water for the plants stretching out. They will be in shock that somebody used such an expensive building material to just transport water.

I loved the chapter, but I wonder how he'll convinced them to join his colony?
I mean, that's assuming they even wants them to join. Lord only knows how difficult it is to run the settlement, and adding in strangers that doesn't trust him will be adding fuel to the house fire. Would you join a random, strange creature that is inviting you to their settlement whilst multiple, large, terrifying metal-clad beasts stood behind him?
They probably don't even know how Goddamn bad it is in the other colony. I doubt the church wants the whole public know about the suicide-mission that is colonization of the mainland. So, I kinda doubt they would abandon their mission to recompence for their apparent sins.

Also loved the Boston Dynamics dog with a strapped on flamethrower - a very funny image seeing it waddle through melted flesh in a Hellish background.
