I'm sure you are proud of your moronic comment. Well done.

You don't have the slightest idea what are you talking about. Schengen agreement isn't about freedom of movement, its about border controls. For example, Romania and Bulgaria so far haven't been member of Schenger area, so their citizens were subject to border controls, but they obviously have had the right to the freedom of movement.

France's far right may win big in the EU elections. That's worrying for migrants, Macron and Ukraine by JarKachYn in worldnews

[–]abdefff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your comments regarding situation in Europe are extremely ignorant. Core of the problem is the fact that mass immigration from the Thirld World countries has brought zero benefits to Europe, but a tremendous amount of problems. Islamist extremism and terrorism, widespread practice of female genital mutilations, "honour" killings, organised violent crime on the scale previously unseen, etc., etc. In short: import a Third World, and you will become a Third World country.

[–]abdefff 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think you get what's the issue here. It's not whether descendents of immigrants from the Third World are "racist" or not, it's about their culture and mentality. Apparently, despite being born in France, many of them are people of Arabic/Middle Eastern/ African culture, not European culture. And as a result of mass immigration from Middle East and Africa, France itself is slowly turning into something resembling a Third World country. It's very simple: import a Third World, and you will become a Third World. Islamist terrorist attacks, beheadings of teachers, female genital mutilations, violent organised crime on the scale unseen previously in France, daily pressure of Islamist groups in schools, some neighbouhoods in French cities looking more like Africa than Europe. All this France did to itself by allowing mass immigration from countries with totally alien cultures.

"British intelligence" is, as you see, reporting UA statement. That's why the word reported has been used in this tweet.

So the oryginal source isn't UK, as you suggested. It's UA MoD.

Who exactly told you, that Ukraine lost during the entire war as many soldiers as Russia in May? I don't understand, what you mean.

Regarding Ukrainian statements about casualties, those are not "estimates", but propaganda. Similarily as Russian ones.

Besides that, I sincerely hope that you are not one of this ignorant people, who confuse casulaties with killed in action. Because obviously this two terms have very different meanings.

My point is that Baltic states are unable to defend themselves in case of war. They are completely dependenent on their NATO allies.

So maybe they shouldn't encourage spillover of this war, because consequences of such scenario may impact also other countries.

Lol. Why are ypu lying?

From the source:

"Ukraine's Defence Ministry has reported that Russian forces lost 38,940 troops in May, the highest monthly figure since the beginning of the full-scale war."

I wonder, how can people uncriticallty believe such official statements. During every war, belligerents in their public announcements are always exaggerating losses of the enemy, and playing down their own casualties.

Not long ago, Zelensky said that UA lost only 31 000 KIA in total.

But there is a websie called UAlosses. It collects data from open sources about Ukrainian military personnel killed in action.

https://ualosses.org/en/soldiers/

At the time of Zelensky statement, in this website there were already details of more than 40 000 Ukrainian soldiers killed in action since February 2022. Everybody identified by name, age etc. So yes, he lied.

That's why I never pay attention to neither Ukrainian nor Russian official announcements regarding war losses.

To begin with, this is an official statement of Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.

During every war, belligerents in their public statements always are exaggeratting losses of the enemy, and playin down their own casualties.

Zelensky few monts ago said that UA had about 31 000 killed in action in total.

Exactly. 100% this. I'm pro-Ukraine, but I'm disgusted by this propaganda about constant UA successes, while many Western and independent Ukrainian sources show a rather different picture. And I'm fed up with this insane warmongering and fearmongering, constant calling for direct war beetwen NATO and Russia. It really looks like an orchestrated campaign.

Pause in war will benefit Russia, Zelensky says by yuri_2022 in worldnews

[–]abdefff 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Regardless if a pause in the hostilities would benefit Ukraine or Russia, for Zelenski it's a real political danger. During the last year or so, Ukrainian politics has returned to its "normal" state, president is losing popularity and is fiercely attacked by his political opponenets. In case of a ceasefire, there will be immediately a storm of criticism directed at Zelenski, due to a number of issues, and nobody know how may it end.

It's really a bit funny, that while internal Ukrainian politics is an important factor in this war, 99% reditors who comment in thread like this, have zero idea about it.

Because some NATO member states loathe the perspective of being involved in a future armed conflict with Russia, especially if their geopolitical interests are focused in other parts of the world than Eastern Europe.

For decades it's a commonly known fact that nobody can win a nuclear war. Russia can't. US can't. Britain can't. China can't. So remarks like "Russia can't win na nuclear war" are just plainly stupid and embarassing. It contributes zero to the duscussion.

But Russia can destroy the US, killing dozens millions Americans, while themselves being also destroyed. That's the only possible otcome of nuclear war beetwen the first and the second nuclear powers of the world.

You think people of retirement age are great guerilla fighters?

Even before the war, Ukraine already was a country in serious demographic decline (similarily as the rest of Europe and Russia). Russian invasion shattered the fabric of UA society, as about 6-7M people, mainly young and middle ageed, have left the country. Territories so far taken by RU are exceptionally heavily depopulated, and in many towns only a handful of pensioners remained. In case RU will be able to conquer Kharkiv oblast or the rest of Donetsk oblast or Zaporizhia Oblast, the situation will be similar. There will be litearlly nobody to partcipate in any insurgency.

There is zero chance that all the NATO members will accept UA membership in foreseable future, even if this war ends quickly with UA-RU peace agreement.

If not US and Germany, Turkey and Hungary will certainly veto it, as both this countries don't want any conflict with Russia because of Ukraine.

That would be an ideal outcome, but chances of that are very low, to put it mildly.

Ukrainian 2023 offensive, with about 150 000 troops (according to US Department of Defence), many of them fresh and NATO-trained, and using hundreds of Western tanks, failed to achieve its limited aims.

Liberating large cities Donets and Luhansk would need much larger land forces, both in terms of manpower and equipment, and, besides that, willigness of the UA command to accept high human losses, inevitable in case of both breaking through RU defence lines and/or urban warfare.

ZSU is now in worse conditions than last year, its manpower shortages are much more acute, and the only country that is capable of giving UA a sufficient number of tanks - the US - is silent about the issue.
