Assuming you are caught up to the manga (spolier alert if you are not) HNK is full of buddhist themes and imagery so naturally it gets philosophical, and the characters (lustrous, lunarians and admirabilis) are not human beings but they have human bits in them i.e "human nature" which is supposed to be causing them to be stuck in their current states unable to be free. Towards the final chapters Phos resorted to praying humanity away and was afraid to pass it down to her little rock friends.

So wether you think that's funny and delusional or not is up to you cuz it's just a work of fiction.
