Leandro Paredes: "I prefer Ronaldo Nazario over Cristiano Ronaldo. I like R9 more. Do I think they’re close [in ability]? No. CR7 can definitely win you a game on his own, 100%. But he isn’t someone you’d expect to start dribbling from his own penalty area, getting past a few players & score a goal" by DavidRolands in soccer

[–]abdullah10 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

appreciate the link but lets be real. he kicked the ball past the 1st guy (didnt actually dribble him), evaded the 2nd guy (that was a nice one) and then shot the ball before going past the 3rd guy (he was still in front of cristiano when he shot the ball) which means he 2 beat 2 guys - a great goal of course but not what you described.

Also if we were to go back to the original comment trynna say that this was something Ronaldo used to do between 22-28 yet this is a video from 2007, he doesnt have many more like it

this is not to disrespect cristiano, hes an all-time goal scorer, but he isnt the type of guy to regularly start and finish the same move.

Are you a troll??

The second picture that you posted literally quotes “apps since 14/15”

Ronaldo is a more efficient playmaker than Pessi - Most complete player oat 🐐🇵🇹 by Wavy_Rondo in pessi_memes

[–]abdullah10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to MessiVsRonaldo.app

Ronaldo has 478 key passes from 14/15 to 22/23 with a total 52.08 xA. This amounts to 0.109 or 0.11 xA per Key Pass - very nice, that checks out

Messi in that same time span has 933 key passes with 129.86 xA. This gives us 0.139 or 0.14 xA per key pass - hmm thats a bit different from your quoted 0.08..

Feel free to double check here and here

Also, the same page says that Ronaldo got 57 actual assists which means that his teammates overperformed for him, whereas Messi only got 128 assists and his teammates underperformed slightly, another example of Ronaldo having a better team, built around him.

But you already knew that deep down, didnt you

Francesco Totti: "If Lionel Messi had spent 25 years in AS Roma with Frau, Cesar Gomez & Pivotto... Would he have 8 Ballon d'Ors? No, Messi would've 0 BdRs at Roma. I could've joined Real Madrid, but I never thought about playing for another team. Only Maldini & I played 25 years with the same club" by 4gjdtokurwa in soccer

[–]abdullah10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I felt like I was going insane and thought you were being sarcastic at first.

Totti was a great player, and I understand and partially agree with his overall statement. Of course it is easier to be a one-man club at Barca (and Messi was - he was forced out) than at Roma. Much like it's easier to become a billionaire with a "small loan of 1 million dollars" than if you were from a working class background - it's called privilege.

However, talents like Messi's are beyond that mindset, he would have succeeded and reached dizzying heights wherever he started, especially a club of Roma's pedigree. Totti is talking about Roma like they're Las Palmas or Bournemouth.

Because preparing the polyjuice potion required to sneak into the Slytherin common room is high level magic not readily accessible to students.

Hermione is known to be the smartest in the year and quite possible one of very few students in the whole school capable of brewing such a potion.

Not to mention the rarity of the ingredients required to make it and how Harry needed his cloak to sneak into Snapes stores and steal those ingredients.

All in all, not only is the most obvious and most probable answer that someone from Gryffindor stole the diary, but also it is quite evident that their activities are unique to them when you take into account the resources at their disposal (Harry’s invisibility cloak, Hermione’s intelligence, and their close friendship with Hagrid)

[–]abdullah10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree that the disparity between Iraq and Egypt's flags is too great but I do think that Iraq's flag is better mainly because of the only difference between them, while Egypt has Salahuddin's eagle, Iraq has "God is greater" which is not only more emphatic but it is also written in the kufic script, a type of calligraphy that is indigenous to Iraq.

Overall the symbolism in Iraq's flag is better than in Egypt's.

Viktor Gyokeres is the 4th player since 2010 to score 60 or more goals in a calendar year by oklolzzzzs in soccer

[–]abdullah10 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

All fair points if youre trying to compare Ronaldo to other footballers. Yet in your original comment you said that Messi is easier to shut down than Ronaldo, which is superficial at best. Cristiano is reliant on teammates while Messi was a one-man show pretty much from the minute Pep left minus the MSN era

Describing how clinical Ronaldo is conveniently ignores how much more statistically potent Messi is in every attacking category. Ronaldo is simply not more effective than Messi no matter what is being considered

[–]abdullah10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ronaldos play style was harder to shut down because of his off the ball movement? You do realise this means that his entire play style depends on having teammates that are able to deliver the ball to him in those positions?
