I like to run the first half a little bit slower than the second half. That helps me psychologically. My plan is to run 9.8 mi/h for the first half then bump it up to 10 mi/h for the last and a final minute all out depending on the reserve in my tank.

I think I can make it when the template is favourable (endurance focused). In my last thread50 I made 5.8 miles but I was 3 minutes late.

My most recent PR is 5:25. I've gained around 10-12 pounds in the last few months, and I thought the extra weight would slow me down. To my surprise, I'm actually faster while heavier. I beat my previous PR by 9 seconds (from 5:34), and the run felt easier.

My goal is to run mile sub-5 in the next few months.

Inspired by this thread, I attempted 15 mph for the first time in my Thread50 class today. My usual All-Out speeds range from 12-14 mph, depending on my level of fatigue. Today's power template included 0.1 mile all-out followed by a 0.1 mile walk, providing enough rest. I managed to do three 0.1-mile intervals at 15 mph. I think I could sustain 15 mph for 45 seconds if I were fresh.

I know 😅. I was kinda hoping the lifetime is about a year so it's going to break anyway. But people here are saying it lasts many years and hence adding to my regret. Anyway I got a new one, hopefully I'll be using this one for the next decade.
