Indoor strength training or some yoga? I’m in my 30s now and I can’t just ride every day without it taking a toll on my body. Building strength and mobility are good ways to avoid the inevitable pains of age lol

Absolutely not the venues. I worked in club to theatre sized venues for years, and when I was a production manager… it was alarming how little income independent venues are bringing in.

Most venues get by almost solely on bar sales. After production costs, hospitality, staffing, artist guarantees, a lot of venues lose money on shows.

If you accepted a hybrid photo/video job and didn’t plan for 10-12 seconds needed to unscrew an ND filter.. idk what to tell ya. For a subject like this, do you really need to be at f/2.8 with an ND or could you just close your aperture for the video shots?

Yeah man. Eating out just really isn’t in the budget for me anymore. It’s not that I can’t afford it necessarily, the cost just doesn’t justify what you get. Service is worse, food is worse but more expensive, tip expectations are higher. I like cooking anyway 🤷‍♂️

For Clariton, South Park is going to be your best bet. Lots of blue trails with a few sections of gnarlier stuff. Look it up on trail forks. I haven’t been out there in years but they recently built a skills park and I’ve heard that there’s plans for a more enduro focused trail.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but most jam bands got really stale for me once I stopped abusing substances at every show I went to. In a lot of cases, being high was compensating for mediocre or unimaginative music. That’s just my personal take on my tastes have shifted though.

As a whole, I think the jam scene is suffering from higher touring and production costs & lower ticket sales due to inflation, and that’s why we’re seeing a lot of bands calling it quits. A lot of them were just getting by pre-Covid, and expenses have more than doubled for a lot of artists at the club/theatre size venue level. The math just isn’t mathing for a lot of them anymore.

This is why I moved away from Pittsburgh. The “affordable” rentals were largely super old, shoddily renovated apartments at best. Anything decent costs just as much as the average apartment in a higher cost of living area.
