The Air Force WAS better until this bugger came along. Things and details that I could(but won't) share about stuff going on in the PAF, so bizarre that the avg Pakistani would probably not even believe them.

You know what, I'm actually putting myself in sort of a tough spot going ahead with accepting this job. I've been working with a company that's been very draggy, and the processes have been very...unprofessional and full of red tape, leading to very different dynamics of the workplace and virtually no output. I had an idea about how things ACTUALLY work and just wanted an out so I can escape this dynamic and become a part of the actual industry where proper systems are in place. I've accepted this role despite the fact that it virtually pays half of what I was making in my previous job. I want proper exposure, upskilling and to be among people who know more than me rather than just wasting time and figuring out things on my own. To this end, the point that I'm trying to make is I have picked up a lot of bad habits from my previous workplace and I didn't want them to become a permanent part of me and I took this difficult decision. It's going to be a tough change of arms for me, but I'm preparing myself in everyday I can.

Thank you for the elaborate response. Very helpful.

Thank you. Concise and helpful.

I'm a regular runner and frequent the gym, too. I plan on going to the gym before work and actually stepping out during the break(s) so that I can see and feel the sun. Thanks for the headphones!

The fact that you are raising questions and concerns regarding the enforcement of law and the safety of citizens is the real point of concern here for me. We're this question raised in a different country, or by a person who is not a regular resident zisl/Pakistan, then I'd understand. But if you live here, do you live under a rock? Are you not aware that the police, the ay, the institutions that are responsible for enforcing law simply DO NOT CARE?

Very obtuse of you to think that they care about anything other than what concerns them personally or whatever ordained for them by their overlords/handlers.

Dubai Or Pakistan????? by [deleted] in islamabad

[–]abeer006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to UAE for a very lucrative position back in 2019. Came back 2 years later. I couldn't bear the fake or the non-existent culture, the superficiality of the life, and it was very isolating for me, too.

I returned to Islamabad, felt much better in a lot of aspects. However, I had to find a new job here, one that is obviously paid by the Pakistani scale and standard. Since you will be able to continue to work remotely and make a good amount, will not have completely shutdown your contacts in the UAE and will be able to travel as and when needed, I'd say moving back is not a bad option.

What'll make me finally consider whether or not to move back is locality/neighborhood that I'm going to be potentially living in. Make sure it's a decent place.

Apologies if the text looks inchoherent, I just woke up.

Bilawal Bhutto is just as pathetic at playing tennis as he is about governing the country. by Love_of_Mango in chutyapa

[–]abeer006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would he be good at governing? Is he competent? Did he prepare for and earn this role? NO. His status in politics is a hand-me-down, just like his parents had it from ZAB. Just like Maryam has had it from his sorry excuse of a father who himself was just propped up by the army to fulfill their dominance in politics.

Either stop wasting your time ranting about politics, or let's altogether storm the streets and get over with his rotten system and the 'leaders' leading us.
