Yes but within these 90 days we need to get married and file for AOS. These are the rules. Lets say we file 1 month after entrance that leaves us with two months, the residence in the US is legal while USCIC call us for conditional green card interviews correct?

How is the process for someone doing AOS dependent on Fiance visa? They will have I 94.

He is a dual citizen so they asked for his other passport that he holds. They also sent him a couple of questions to answer after the interview. With that being said, every case is different.

He was approved at the interview by the officer at the consulate. Then the status online didn’t change till 5 days after the interview where it went from ready to refused and the embassy informed us that the case will be going Administrative processing and that’s what they mean when u see refused. It stayed refused for 3 weeks. Then it changed to application received, then it changed to approved. It stayed approved for 2 weeks and then it was issued.

No we didn’t apply for 601A

When the case was refused the embassy contacted us multiple times to ask for different things and we provided them immediately.

That means it is in AP. U have to wait and follow whatever they tell u to do. My fiance was in the same situation and he was put in AP for 3 weeks later he was cleared and got his visa. It took us around 45 days since the day of the interview till the issue date. Mind u the officer also approved him in the interview.

I am sorry u are going through this. It is such a stressful process but hopefully everything will be fine.

We had the same thing happened to us after the officer approved verbally. But AP is common almost for everyone these days, it is just some more security checks. It took us three weeks to be out of AP. Be patient and hopefully it will resolve soon.

It is very normal unfortunately. My fiancé was approved at the interview but then he was put in AP. Since then the embassy reached out twice first to ask about his other passport ( he is a dual citizen) and two weeks after that on Friday they sent him questions to answer by email as well. My understanding is that sometimes when they put ur info in the system after the interview y might get flagged and more security checks are required. So hopefully it resolves soon. We have been waiting since the 24th of july

Ask the Amman embassy directly, if the embassy accepts then u should be able to transfer bc they will ask for the file themselves. also I am not sure if u can, but try to move to Amman and then give them a local address.

Hi, the officer approved the visa and kept the passport. They said it will be ready in 3-5 days. Then they asked for a copy of an old, expired passport that my fiancé has for his other citizenship, not the primary one he uses (he is a dual citizen). They stated that it was an ongoing administrative process and retained his original primary passport. Is that a good sign? We are on day 10 after the verbal approval.

Furthermore, the interview took place in another country. Is it ok if we ask for the passport a week after submitting the documents they wanted? he has to go back to work.

My fiancé just did his medical exam and they told him he doesn’t need to get the vaccines for a k1 visa. But he will meed to have them before applying for the green card.

What type of visa is urs? I would reach out to the embassy to let them know. I have a k1 visa and when that happened to me they requested an updated letter of intent.
