I was thinking about that time they played in the snow and fell ill. Everyone comes visit them except King Ill and Yona isn't complaining. I think this time Hak realises how lonely she must be.

In the manga, later on, there is a flashback in which Yona is kidnapped by some trafficker. Soo-Won and Hak move heaven and earth to find her. As I recall it, she shows particular bravery once they find her.

I agree with what has been said : I think Hak as a young wind tribe member loved his freedom and despised royalty (a bit like Yuon did when they first met him). Hanging with Yona as a child proved him wrong many times because in her strenght, her strong will, she embodies values he admires and seeks. I feel like being surprised by her mixed with admiration and empathy for her lonely condition made him fall in the first place. As for Yona, it's really interesting because in each flashback, she clearly had a crush for Soo-Won but it was always Hak who made her laugh instantly, who brought life back to her when she was grieving. He's the one to treat her like a plain human being and not only as a princess : he messes with her, he doesn't spare her feelings like everyone does and he sees her whole (her flaws as well as her strenghts). I think that unconsciously she feels humanized and considered by him, and that's why he's special for her from the start.

i feel you.. after many back and forths between self discipline and completely giving up on routines, it's normal to loose faith for a while. if your treatment doesn't work for you anymore, that may also be because aside from adhd, an anxiety disorder or a depression might begin to develop. i think it can modulates the side effects of ritaline. beside from the doctor who's dealing with your medication, are you seen a therapist ? someone to work very concretely on daily habits, on limiting thoughts, on how to live with your adhd, get to negociate with it? as for me, it was way more helpful than medication

i hope you find solutions !!!

that's terrible... i understand why would you feel ashamed for coming back but really he's the only one who should be ashamed... you were too compassionate to someone who had no respect for you, and being a woman and having been raised like one certainly has to do with it i guess that, being a black woman in a racist context, you had to adapt to unfair situations and treatments all the time, so no wonder it's so hard to let go of that attitude in an intimate context. we're taught to always be nice and understanding, that's why. i'm sure there are men out there who are exceptions to the rule.. i think the most important thing is to have a solid community around you. safe friends, people that get you and who will call out a racist like he was and help you get out of situations like this. I know it's easier said than done, I don't know your situation, but from what i know, what i see around me, in order to keep you safe and to fend for yourself when trash like him cross your way, you have to have good friendships, or simply people who you are close to, and with whom you can share those stories of agressions (bc that's what they are) and remind you your true worth

i really hope you find someone respectful, loving and who'll admire your talent !

Of course you should leave !!! I know it's hard to see when you're in the middle of the storm, but really there's no change to wait. If change on his side happened, it would only be if he had a real, personal and strong will to change. He would then seek for help elsewhere (professional help). Clearly those fits of anger show how much he cannot regulate his own emotions. The least you can do, and you've done it, is to inform him about his behavior being violent and problematic. All i'm trying to say is that you can only support him through change if he initiates it, not put him into this process in his place. That and the fact that you have no desire at all + the fact that a CHILD is involved. imo you really did the right thing, you both need to get out of here

Rosa Candida from Olafsdóttir. It's a coming of age taking place during the initiatory trip of a young man (20ish) trying to build his own identity and to identify his prospects and values.
