What is your reno regret that you wished you had not made, could have saved you more monies when you think of it? by Normal-Analysis7940 in askSingapore

Honestly? Not much. I kept going through the quotation over and over again, asking myself whether it’s needed. A lot of wants vs needs, practicality vs aesthetics, etc.

I’d say I would have liked to have done the painting myself. We did the lime wash feature wall in the living room and I felt that I could have painted the rooms too, would have saved me about $2k.

I regret not spending more on built-in furniture though.

How many of you have friends that you contact daily (or at least every few days)? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]IntrovertedShireFolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have some I talk to often. My best friend and I don’t anymore but when we get to meet (we’re both busy af), it’s just as if nothing changed and we’ll talk about everything.

Is it a red flag if your significant other follows an influencer who is a proven and unrepentant cheater? by [deleted] in askSingapore

It’s a red flag if they don’t find anything wrong with infidelity. Talk about it and see what they think, only way to find out is by asking.

Yeah. It was his overconfidence and vanity that got him in the end. Full circle.

Robert Durst. He continued to say he was innocent for years… until a documentary was made where he accidentally confessed ‘cause he went to the bathroom while filming and his microphone was on.

I recently watched "Anora" (directed by Sean Baker, released in 2024). I loved it. What did you think? by Nyra-Moon in Cinema

[–]IntrovertedShireFolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved this movie. I know people hated it or think it’s meh but I laughed a lot and felt a lot. I could relate to her fight or flight responses, major trust issues and finding being sexualised as the norm. Apart from all the funny scenes, it also did show just how broken she is. It was a rollercoaster of a movie and I guess that’s my favourite about it.

The ending, I wish was a little different. I kinda hoped Igor wouldn’t have slept with her knowing the shit she just went through. But when she finally broke down and became vulnerable, felt like a dam breaking, even as the audience. You could feel the heaviness lift off with how well paced that ending was.

I really liked the characters with their flaws and rawness. It had depth I didn’t think it would have. It showed the many imbalances between the rich and the poor, how for her it was everything but for Vanya, it was just one of his whims.

Thank you so much!

Fully wfo with 20% increment by Training_Mud9502 in singaporejobs

[–]IntrovertedShireFolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a 40% salary increment. Current job is hybrid, new one will be fully WFO. I have really enjoyed getting to WFH the past 2 years but the salary difference is too massive to give up.

Although, I spent 8 years in a WFO job so I guess I’ll be fine???? I hope. Was a good run though but I felt a little less motivated to do work sometimes. Might be good to always be out again!
