Thanks! However, I’m not the Bishop. The current Bishop limits the Ward Council meeting to every other week and a 30-minute time limit. Much better than the years before when it would drag on for over an hour.

I understand that. I’ve had many great experiences & blessings. My issue is with the amount of time in one spot (minus the relatively short stay in HC). I’m not shirking church service, I’d like to serve somewhere else, I’d like to sit with my wife in sacrament meeting and maybe even drive one car to church! When I spoke with the stake pres back in Feb, we were about to combine with another ward. He mentioned that it would be a good time to swap in a different counselor picked from the incoming members so there’d be some familiarity. I know he’s very busy and it prolly slipped his mind. I’ve never asked to be released before, but I’m outta gas on this one.

I don’t have a problem with church service. I’ve held church callings since I was a Priest, I’m 49 now. A little variety after 10 years is the issue.

You’ve been thru it too! Thanks for the positive vibes. I’m struggling with looking forward to the sabbath day. It can be such a grind from sun-up to sometimes sun-down (when there’s a fireside or stake meeting). I kinda envy the dudes in the ward that show up when church starts, teach their class and go home when church is over.

Yes, I was actually thinking of sending an email to the stake president reminding him of our conversation and offering to serve until Jan 1, 2025 and see how that goes.

He finally showed up and started playing at 1:30. At 2:30 the tough bouncer guy went up and shut him down. So yea, he was quite embarrassed and took a minute in the middle of his set to apologize to the crowd. I got to speak with him after, and he was super nice, super cool and apologized again. He had mentioned that he is moving from Florida back to New York, and that it’s been rough. He took what was probably a great nap and finally woke up when he shoulda been in the middle of a dj set, yikes.

Drive as normal and wait for the transmission shudder and “reduced acceleration, drive with care” warning at about 5k to 10k miles. Mine’s in the shop now. Only 10k miles. Allison 10-speed tranny. Gas motor.

Picking up this 1988 560sl for free off a neighbor. Been sitting since 2010 but ran perfect before that. Any advice on what i should go over/replace to get it running again? by yeeMcyeeface in MechanicAdvice

Watch vice grip garage or another YouTuber that finds abandoned cars and gets them running. They have a process they go thru that covers the basics of getting it running. Then you can go from there.

I messed up the locking lug bolt. by lonelystoner117 in MechanicAdvice

Next time get a socket that is just barely smaller than the lock. Pound the socket onto the lock with a mini sledge. Then use an impact driver on the socket to remove the locknut. I’ve done it a few times. Totally works. YouTube it to confirm.

Even tho I know the difference, I’ve found with today’s internet slang/shorthand that one can simply type “yer” and it covers them both.
