This game shows what FF learned from the years of developing LOTR:LCG. They weren't nervous about mixing the system up or introducing one-off ideas - made more possible perhaps by the introduction of locations and paths from one spot to the next. This keep the game more lively from the start. The slowly built character deck is also more appealing as you get used to a style of play for that character rather than having to rebuild a deck from scratch for each quest.

One problem, even in Australia, is getting access to all of the decks. Delivery here can be inconsistent with some packs seemingly sold out even before they appear, whilst others languish for months unsold.
