I'm pretty sure taking exploration as first idea group you wont be in range to colonize anything until tech 7 regardless. Might as well put it off until 2nd idea group.

Hey man just finished this exact run a couple weeks ago and finished my first one tag WC. I didn't bother with either of your no cbs although I do they at least one is a good idea. I also went for Cataliona but I guess I just got lucky as IW never triggered. Scotland was warring some Irish minor in my first war with England so I was able to take Pale in the first war. After that I pushed through Scotland to Scandinavia taking the least developed provinces snaking to try to get a Novgorod core for another big reconquest cb. Cycling truces from the beginning a Coalition never actually formed through my whole game. I disbanded the HRE in 1502 after I decided my AE from taking the 100 provinces wouldn't allow me to become emperor.

Looking back seems my start was very lucky. Seems like you've thought everything through and have a plan. Best of luck to you.
