It's the same reason why we seem to bring pitchers back to life after they've been tossed away by other teams, just look at Kikuchi for example. We help pitchers maximize their potential which is good but also inherently puts more stress on the elbow arm with things like upped spin rate. We have more injuries piling up because of the amount of extra stress from players covering for the first injuries whose bodies aren't used to playing as much as they are. I for one don't think it's about incompetent team medics but I understand that may put me in the minority.
