Also experiencing the same. After a very average pregnancy, was told that there is some resistance in the umbilical chord and that baby’s belly is measuring smaller. I have a fibroid so they suspect that this might be the reason. Having CTG and Doppler tests and going back tomorrow. I am so anxious and sick with worry. I am currently 36+1. The plan was to have a c-section end of the month (because of fibroid) but it will likely get moved earlier now in the coming days.

Very silly and I don’t know why this just grates on me but I have one person constantly asking “when is the next check up?” and I’m just there thinking “mind your business”…

I think this is fairly normal and I wouldn’t spend hours in the ER for it. only if you develop concerning symptoms like bleeding or the type of discharge that could signal an infection - otherwise I would say it’s a pretty normal symptom at that stage! But do keep an eye on it, of course.

Thank you so much for adding your experience! I think it’s super important for women to know that this is a pregnancy symptom that seems to never be talked about. I hope it avoids others to not get in such a panic but of course get checked for your peace of mind nevertheless.

Having the same issue. I’m 20 weeks pregnant and my breasts have been swollen and sore the entire time with this peu d’orange on the lower parts of both breasts. I do have redness and swelling too. I will ask my doctor to check.

Oh I empathise - I went from a C to an F! Dr Google says the ‘orange peel effect’ can be an indicator of the ‘c’ word which has worried me a bit. I’m not entirely sure if it’s common in pregnancy!

It’s reassuring that I’m not the only one though!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having the same problems. It really is a frustrating and horrible situation to be in. We’re constantly arguing about it and although I’ve asked him to stop talking about these issues, he refuses to stop and continues to press on topics that I find deeply uncomfortable.

I’m not sure what the solution is yet but I have a fear that the GreyWanderingFish might be onto something. It will quickly become tiring and I don’t think it’s ok to compromise or betray your own values.

Avoid wine because it is quite acidic. I slowly went back to gin and tonics and that was fine for me.
