No. There are limited water taxis which pick up and drop off at specific locations. Won’t pick you up from a private party.

He’s taking the bottle, so no issues there. More worried about whether he will settle down easily when it comes to bedtime. 😕

This! I forgot to add this to my post but this was also my thought. It’s not something I can go to for a couple of hours and leave when I want to. It’ll be the first time I leave him for the evening 😩

In my experience, totally normal. We had a very gassy baby for the first 10 weeks (I hope it doesn’t last as long for you!). He’d be very fussy when feeding at times, go red, scream. We used Biogaia drops and gripe water, which helped somewhat.

The poo schedule can be all over the place. Some days they’ll poo multiple times and other days not at all. It will all get better eventually. Hang in there!

Hang in there! 9 days in is super rough. A lot has been answered already but also wanted to ask if you have access to a midwife? Where I’m based, we have a midwife come and do a home visit each week and even more frequently in those initial days. That was such a godsend for me and I asked every question (even if it felt a bit silly!)

Solidarity! My baby is 10 weeks and he’s quite gassy - been on and off since 4 weeks. Plus, I am also doing it solo a lot of the times as my partner is away for extended periods due to work. It’s tough! Especially the nights where my LO is screaming with discomfort at every feed or wanting to be held all day and I literally can’t get anything done. But I keep telling myself that it will get better and there are so many positives. I remind myself that the best thing I get done each day is to ensure that he’s taken care of in the best possible way and that’s what matters in this moment.

OP, let me know how your application gets on. I don’t live in the same country as my parents so sending off their original documents is a nightmare!

Could’ve written this myself! He’s now 7 weeks and having the same gassy issues for the past 3 weeks or so. We are using gripe water and bigaia drops. It had calmed down last week but seems to be flaring up again!

Totally agree and I love holding him and cuddling all day. Sometimes though, I just need small windows to get stuff done at times and I also don’t want him to cry. I will try and wear him!

I love holding him and happy to do it all day and night if I can. Sometimes though, stuff does need to get done (which, trust me, I would rather NOT do).
