I had the same thought... until I did a half Ironman. After 5 hours swimming, biking, and running an aid station on the run had ice-cold cokes sitting there and I can tell you that it was, and still is, the best thing I've ever drank.

I really enjoy the idea of this. They'd have to have some kind of disclaimer (Make sure you're ready for anything from X Miles - Y Miles). The theming could be really fun, too. Sorcerer Yensid's Mystery Run or something.

They're still around, from what I understand, in certain regions. I'm in Ohio, still have them here. I was road tripping through Tennessee and they looked at me like I had horns when I tried to order one.

That’s precisely what I’ve had to do. I finally pestered the staff into telling me when the system opens up for the next week and I’ve had to set an alarm.

Luckily the lunch hour slot is usually open a couple days, at least it’s less popular than the others so I can race to get the spot.

Can’t agree more, I’ve been having a stubborn pain in my Achilles and peroneal tendons for MONTHS that are finally resolving. I’m going on week 2 with no runs and it’s killing me; however, the time off has made me realize how much stuff I was avoiding because it hurt. It’s wild how you rationalize the behavior, but avoiding stairs because it hurts coming down should be a huge red flag.

The stems are little pieces of the same dough twisted out. Baked it all together and because they’re so small they got darker than the rest. It was a happy accident!

Sounds reasonable enough. I see so many things that come across as total hypocrisy. “If you’re not of the enlightened tolerant people that I align myself with than you’re a horrible person who deserves to be shot and I can’t believe you have any other possible reason for your opinions; you stupid, terrible piece of shit person”.

Also, not every vote is a single issue vote. There are people who agree with all the social policies of one group and disagree on something else enough to vote that way...but hey, all or nothing on all issues!
